Check your autoexec.cfg file. Save a backup copy and replace this section with this.

That should give you what you are looking for.

Thanks, but this configuration is not much better than the one I had. If someone made a configuration as the above...

Ok I'll do that tonight and post the cfg for you.

I have the same problem, eliteone.

Except I can change keyboard configuration but can't assign my mouse buttons to anything. I 'd be very grateful if you could help !

Simply help me assign my mouse0(RMB) to fire and mouse1(LMB) to use objects, that'd be great! Thank you again.

weird, it's still not working, I changed autoexec, defaults, defctrls, it's like they have nothing to do with the game. I just don't get it why the mouse wheel is working while the buttons are not

what make and model is the mouse?

Soeey, my English is poor. My mouse use USB port, is that what you mean. so you mean inappropriate mouse could also cause this problem? I'll change my mouse and see

I was wondering the make and model (like Microsoft Optical wheel mouse) for example.

If I remember correctly some mice had configuration problems. Updating your direct X version usually solved the problem. Another thing to check is if you are running windows XP is to make sure the autoexec.cfg file isn't set to read only as this would prevent you from changing the settings in the controls options in the game.

It's ok (on the English) it's not my native language either ;)

To download the latest direct X go here

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx

this problem seems occurs on internationalversions of DirectX.

Just uninstall current version of DirectX (which might be international version-local language support)

install the 'english' version of DirectX.

and the control setup should work for the mouse.

Also using the default windows driver for your mouse instead of drivers that came with is another thing to try.

hopefully these ideas get you on your way to playing. :D

yea, I use optical wheel mouse but I don't think mouse is the problem in this case. See I can actually assign LMB to fire but it automaticly turns it back to F. maybe it's just a bug, I'm dowloading driect X, if it's still not working I'll install it on my laptop.

Windows XP ? check the file permissions. Also use the windows drivers for your Optical mouse. I run a Microsoft USB Optical mouse with no problems on this game (I use the defualt windows XP driver for it) and the english version of Direct X 9c

eliteone, Thank you very much!!!

2andromeda:

You just need in your autoexec.cfg replace everything from string"enabledevice "##mouse""(its in the end) to this:

enabledevice "##mouse"

rangebind "##mouse" "##z-axis" -255.000000 -0.100000 "PrevWeapon" 0.100000 255.000000 "NextWeapon"

rangebind "##mouse" "##5" 0.000000 0.000000 "Reload"

rangebind "##mouse" "##4" 0.000000 0.000000 "Activate"

rangebind "##mouse" "##3" 0.000000 0.000000 "Fire"

rangebind "##mouse" "##y-axis" 0.000000 0.000000 "Axis2"

scale "##mouse" "##y-axis" 0.006875

rangebind "##mouse" "##x-axis" 0.000000 0.000000 "Axis1"

scale "##mouse" "##x-axis" 0.006875

ModelAdd 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000

ModelDirAdd 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000

Thank you, Seemann!

Also thank you, eliteone !

Now I can fire using mouse! Never excited of fixing such a problem but now I can enjoy a gamespot 9.3 shooter, yeah!

Glad to be of assistence :D:D
