Xaoc Posted October 1, 2021 Author Posted October 1, 2021 The Files have been made available in the Downloads section. Any issues raise them here and I will do my best to help. this should work on Any Mac that can run Crossover and will probably run on any Linux box running Crossover. I have not tested Linux so if someone can it would be a boon! Quote
Xaoc Posted October 1, 2021 Author Posted October 1, 2021 one other thing to note is they double in size on import. nolf1 1.5 gig imported Nolf2 4.6 gig imported Quote
Xaoc Posted March 22, 2022 Author Posted March 22, 2022 Just finished testing with Crossover Version 21.2 both Golf 1 and golf 2 work great! 1 Quote
m00k Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 NOLF1 I get working, but NOLF2 does not, claiming missing DirectX 8.1 and a hardware TnL device... So I am doing something wrong, I guess...? Quote
Xaoc Posted May 30, 2022 Author Posted May 30, 2022 Hi m00k, I just tested with the newest version of Crossover. Some updates ran in the background and nothing showed but give it enough time and it shows the start screen. start a game and it will give you a black screen..... that will eventually after about 2 minutes start. after that it works perfectly! I set things up to auto update. I hope this helps... Don Quote
Xaoc Posted May 31, 2022 Author Posted May 31, 2022 Other thing that I wonder is did you import the bottle before running it? Nolf 2 requires a lot of config and if you tried to run the bottle without importing it that not installs will run despite being there before the application loads. Another possibility Quote
m00k Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 (edited) Thanks so much for the fast reply!! I did import the bottle first, like for NOLF 1 where it worked. However, I found the solution to be amazingly simple: I simply installed NOLF2 again with the installer I got from http://nolfrevival.tk/, in the already fitted out bottle. Tadaa! Magic O much fun to have this beautifully rendered on my M1 Pro MacBook Pro ! Now I am experimenting to see whether I can install Contract Jack in one of those bottles as well. Just because it is there, I did not know about that game before this week, to be honest. Fun, this! Edited May 31, 2022 by m00k extra info Quote
m00k Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 By the way, Xaoc: I am Dutch, but I bought NOLF2 Mac during a holiday in Canada (St John's Newfoundland to be precise) when it was released. Getting the help and inspiration to revive it from a Canadian is very fitting and appreciated! Quote
Xaoc Posted May 31, 2022 Author Posted May 31, 2022 I am so glad that worked! I have tried Contract Jack but it is not as fun as Nolf... I am a huge NOLF fan lol been playing since the game was released lol Love the Humor and hilarious dialogue! LOL Don Quote
FantomasCZ Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Hi guys, I'm reading this topic some time later and cannot find the Crossover bottle in the Download section. Is it just me, or has it been removed? And could you possibly get it back? Thanks a lot! Jiří. Quote

I replaced the game files in the bottle with the ones from the NOLF Modernizer and it worked after that. Additionally, I did have to install the directmusic through the crossover downloads to restore music, and had to disable "High Resolution Mode" on the advanced settings for the bottle. I'm running a Mac Mini M4 Pro. Quote

I'm running a Mac Mini M4 Pro. Replaced game files with the NOLF Modernizer mod This mod improves compatibility with modern systems and removes CD checks. Installed DirectMusic via CrossOver Use CrossOver's "Install Components" or "Install Software" menu to add DirectMusic, which restores background music in the game. Disabled “High Resolution Mode” in the advanced settings of the bottle This prevents crashes or graphical glitches, especially on Apple Silicon. Quote
