In fact, the movement for Irish independence has its roots there. Some typical Irish sport are Hurling and Gaelic Football (I keep getting the urge to shout 'Handball!'). fierljeppen Back in Holland, the people with the most outspoken cultural identity and their own sports are the Frisians. Speed skating, while popular in the whole of Holland, has its most fanatical followers there. They also have some unique sports of their own, like fierljeppen or kaatsen. Hockey Formula 1 other top sports in here are Rally,Ski-Jump,Nordic compined, Alpine skiing, Skiing, skating, Javelin, Shot Put, Hammer Throw, Wrestling, Shooting, swimming, bandy and etc. We play football (real football not that american style)too but we are not that good in it.
