Not true, I got up into the top ten in under a month; after not playing for a solid year.
Right! It's really not hard to get on the board, I got there in a week when I first registered at CSPORTS, but when I changed my name a little, it didn't count it, so...wtf ever.
I, personally, hate the Csport Rankings...their inaccurate...they make people obsessed with getting to #1. Like some people would go AFK in a Game just to get higher, others make their own server and go AFK in there...They should play fair, those Cheaters
We should appreciate them trying to make it work, though....
Usually the person ranked #1 just plays more often than anyone. They should try to rank it by average kills per game or something.Exactly!

1. Check if your firewall is Blocking it.
2. Go into your router (you have to have your router password) and open the port for Nolf2.

It is a good game, but there are no servers (rarely), and not as many people there as there were a while ago.

No. Each game is different, each game has different mistakes. You people can argrue all you want, make large posts about which is better, but it won't make a difference.

You see it that way, eh. Contract Jack doesn't have everything that Nolf1 and Nolf2 has, so it's incorrect to say that.
I own Contract Jack. I bought it after Nolf2. I don't care what people say about it, I don't decide if I'm going to buy a game based on the Reviews or Comments about it. The game looked good, good price (Flippin $10), so I bought it. Pretteh good I thought after I played the Single player and Multiplayer. The single player was way to short, I beat it the same day I got it. I agree that was a major disappointment. If Contract Jack actually had Servers, then I probably wouldn't have uninstalled it. I know many people have it, because once there's a server up, more and more starts to come in, so Contract Jack isn't deserted (But I dunno now).
I am exceptionally glad we have a Contract Jack lover, and is willing to tell us that he likes it.

I can't get into Guild Wars. It says Connecting...Error=5.

Yeah, having like a Space in your name would give the person some advantage.
1. The other team person might forgot who their shooting, and just doesn't shoot him/her.
2. When sniping, it would be harder 'cause you don't see the name.
But...
I wouldn't mind it...'cause playin' other games like CoD/UO, you become accustomed to shooting the enemy with no name.
If someone has no name, you need to remember who you're shooting at (Ninja, agent, etc).
You can still see who that Space Person is by IP Address, if that's what you were asking. You can still ban/boot him/her.
Or were you not asking that?

No, I get you, but I think that you misunderstand what I, and the other people who are sick of base rXXX, have a problem with. I agree, if you don't protect your base you get stormed, you lose your pieces and you maybe lose the game. You shouldn't have to get repeatedly spawn killed until the other team decides to have mercy and leaves. That kind of behaviour is, as somebody else pointed out, just to increase cSports rankings and such, and makes the game suck.
I remember a game a couple of weeks ago where you and your SFI buddies got together in Calcutta and blocked off the base that my team was in. You guys stayed back and gave us a chance to prepare before we headed out to the blockade to try and break through, which we didn't I should add. Sure, we lost (badly I think, hehe) but it was still enjoyable because we had an aim, and we got to live for longer than 5 seconds.

Yes, I just didn't read your other post (lazy). I wrote this on post 18:

It's boring, and quite frustrating. For example. One of the biggest base rapers would be 'Name Deleted'. Course this is my opinion...but he does base storm a lot, and I think he should BACK OFF of all the base rapes. If it's very easy to go into the other team's base, your Teams aren't balanced.
Onyx that is a good idea, but when 'Name Deleted' is base storming you, it's still kind of hard since he's like ALWAYS there. Though I'm not sure if 'Name Deleted' still base rapes, haven't played with him in weeks.

Sorry Nova, but that's not really fair at all. As E1 says below you, play the game with the objectives in mind. If the objective of DD was to beat the other team's kill score, then that would be valid, but it isn't. If you don't defend your base in DD, you have your pieces taken. You shouldn't have to spend the next 15 minutes doing the "Spawn->get spawn killed->die" routine, which, even you admit, is boring and frustrating.
I was sayin' you can't blame it on someone if you get base stormed, the only one you can blame is yourself. Your team is suppose to work together protecting your base. No one should protect their base by their self, that is what I would call Unfair.

My Views:
Reasons not to end levels fast:
1. Some people do like short games, though many people like to have longer games so they can do various things:
~Every now and then, I will change my Crosshair. I would change it to a different color, different size, and see if it’s easier for me to kill someone.
~Some people like to find good spots in a level. (Good spots as in a good sniping spot, a good leaning spot, etc)
~Others like to test their ping. Like…if I turn my MSN Instant Messenger off…would I have less ping/lag?
~Try to have the most kills or tags they have ever had.
~Search for cool tag areas.
~Explore a level. (Though I think it’s better if you hosted your own server)
2. Another reason why it’s not cool to have short games is, of course, you always look at that...Bright…BRIGHT YELLOW SCREEEEEEN!! Well that’s not really a good reason…there would just be many loads.
3. Ending the level fast wouldn’t give a new Player not enough time to get better or know the maps. Suppose a Newbie bought Nolf2 today, came into a server filled with people wanting to end the game fast…and they end each level every 5 minutes. Our dear Player wouldn’t have enough time to know where the hell the AK is in Antarctic Aggression even if he spawned right next to it.
Reasons to end a level:
1. That’s what doomsday is, once you’ve collected all of the pieces, you gotta end.
2. Short games are sometimes cool, especially on levels that aren’t as popular as other levels. The Siberia and Ocean ones.
3. Bad talk, Spamming, continuous SOMEBODY REVIVE ME bs…Just disturbances during game-play…
Miscellaneous:
1. Base storming:
-Not many people like to be base stormed. Some like the challenge and some don’t. I think many people need to understand that it’s your own damn fault if you start getting base stormed. No, you can’t blame it on Billy, or Mary, you have to blame yourself for not protecting YOUR base like you were SUPPOSE to. I believe there is absolutely no reason to complain about the base storms. If you don’t like the storms, you need to go in the other servers. There are usually 2 or 3 servers in DoomsDay you can go to. Or you can become a team with the other people on your side. There are so many people who know what a team is, but never acts like a team. Team: A cooperative unit. Your team needs to cooperate with each other if you want the Base storming to stop. If you really want it to stop, don’t be a bizotch about it and say something like, “GET OUT OF MY ^%(@#^% BASE YOU #^$%@(&^#&( GOD DAMN YOU.” Really, no need to cuss in Servers, all you need to do is ask politely to the other team to stop. If they don’t, you and your team need to create an idea. My ideas are usually run like hell to the other base and take their part…Hehe! (Sorry if I sounded a bit mean in this paragraph :S )
2. Base rapes; cause of unbalances:
-Team Balance: Each side of the Team should be an equal amount of players, like 5 vs. 5 or 3 vs. 3. Yes, sometimes there will be an extra player, which would result in a 6 vs. 5 or 4 vs. 3. The extra player should go to the team with the least points (That’s what I think should happen).
-Skill Wise: I consider skills as one of the most crucial parts of base storm happenings. For example, if It was a 3 vs. 3:
**NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE, THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE**
Red Team (Owning Skillz)
Azazel, FoX$y, and Banks
Vs.
Blue Team (Sukka Skillz)
Master Shake, FryLock, and Meatwad
~The information (Which is false): Okay, Azazel, FoX$y, and Banks has been playing Nolf2 for...let’s say 2 years, and Mater Shake, FryLock, and Meatwad…3 Months.
-This combination of skillz is very unbalanced. The Blue Team would definitely be dominated by the Red Team. There could be a possibility of The Blue Team not even playing NOLF2 anymore (Depends on their Personality).
3. Ending Level due to Base Rapes:
-This is the most popular option during base rapes. The Base Rapers are the ones who usually have all the pieces, so they get to decide WHEN they want to stop, which is slightly unfair to the other team, but not really. There are chances that the Victims can get out and get their pieces, but it’s just that they don’t try!! You may say you try, but you know you don’t really; you’re just waiting for someone else to do it, while their doing the same thing as you as well. There are some very dedicated people in Nolf2 that tries their hardest to get out and be successful. They try to get everyone to try, which is just amazing to me ‘cause no one does that…It’s like…Everyone is independent…no one wants to be a team anymore…*Sigh*…
4. Ending level due to unbalances:
Ehhhh...Ending the level because someone won’t switch over is kind of BLAH...and it’s also very BLAH that someone refuses to switch to the other team.
-Some things you can do are:
~You can wait till a new player comes in.
~A Player leaves the server.
~Try to compromise.
~Maybe just lay there dead?
-The worst things you can do are:
~All or Most of the Players on the Team that has less Players switch to the side with more players. That I say is quite immature and shouldn’t be dealt with that way. Really stupid…
~Start to be an arse by Complaining…being annoying…etc.
I can't really take a side on this Anymore...

Some ways to play in the servers are: Go through X-Fire (But that sometimes doesn't work). You can also go through: The All-Seeing-Eye (Which usually works). Another way is to duplicate balblablablalbalblablah...I believe someone posted what to do in the Tech Section.

It's kind of amazing that someone would actually spend the time figuring out all the good spots and strategys...personally I think that's kind of boring...Sure every now and then I might look for a great spot, but the figure out ALL of the BEST spots on ALL the freakin levels is insane. Looking for Glitches and exploring is my thing. To me it's hellsa fun. I know almost all of the Coop Level secrets/glitches like the back of my hand, I've memorized like every freakin' inch of the levels....and it only took me 8 months
