2005’s Shadow the Hedgehog game is a fever dream to look back on because of its dark tone, a striking departure from Sonic series norms. It included swearing in its dialogue, had its titular antihero use vehicles when it would have been faster to run, and most infamously had him using firearms to take out baddies (and… Read more... Apparently it’s 2012 all over again, and publishers are once more attempting the move of requiring always-on internet connections to play single-player games. That’s been revealed to be the case for Call of Duty: Black Op 6's single-player campaign, not just on PC as it has been for years, but now on consoles too. Read more... View the full article

Cyberpunk 2077’s first and only expansion, Phantom Liberty, introduces a new ending to CD Projekt Red’s sci-fi RPG, and it’s one I have a hard time reconciling with the game as it already exists. Sure, it’s certainly definitive and ends the story in a pretty profound, subversive way, but it also reflects so directly… Read more... View the full article

Looking for the best Cyberpunk 2077 mods? You're not alone. Nearly two years after its contentious and troublesome launch, players are suddenly flocking back to Cyberpunk 2077 in record numbers, and sales of CD Projekt's first-person RPG are on the rise, too. There are some good reasons for that. First, Cyberpunk 2077 has undergone some serious changes and improvements over the past 18 months, fixing lots of bugs and adding long-requested features like transmog to the RPG. Providing another big boost is Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the Netflix anime series that's getting people back in the mood to either revisit Night City or to try the game for the very first time. Whether you're a first time player or a veteran, you'll be interested to know there are lots of great mods to download and install, featuring everything from flying cars to improved motorcycles, and even mods inspired by the anime series that you can bring to life in your own game. Below, you'll find our picks for the best mods for Cyberpunk 2077. Let There Be Flight We all know the future promised us flying cars, and there actually are some airborne vehicles in a few scenes in Cyberpunk 2077. But when you're playing the game itself, the only cars you can pilot remain firmly on the ground. It doesn't seem fair! Luckily, modder jackhumbert had the same thought. Finally, you can take your ride to the skies with the Let There Be Flight mod. The mod includes several different control schemes, plus custom sounds and visual effects. At last, Night City really does feel like the future. Enhanced Police (Image credit: CD Projekt) CD Projekt has said it's planning a big police overhaul in the future, to finally make the cops a bit more realistic when they show up to fight crime. Currently, it's a bit unsatisfying: they just teleport to your location. That feels like cheating. The Enhanced Police mod by mandruis7 makes the arrival of cops more reasonable. With a one-star warrant level, cops will arrive on foot, but at higher levels they'll show up on bikes and in police cars and actually pursue you. That feels much more appropriate. Bike Overhaul (Image credit: CD Projekt) There are some sweet motorcycles in Cyberpunk 2077, but they've never really felt all that great to drive. The Bike Overhaul mod by Suprt132 addresses a lot of the issues with bikes, making them faster and more satisfying to operate. Now when you're speeding around the city, V will lean with the bike when making turns and the top speed of each bike has greatly increased. Drone Companions (Image credit: CD Projekt) Cyberpunk 2077 is a singleplayer game, but that doesn't mean you need to take on the world all by yourself. If you want to feel the possibilities of the future, the Drone Companions mod by modder Scissors123454321 lets you craft and customize some robotic buddies. And they're not just around to be your pals, they'll fight alongside you. The mod adds a new operating system called Techdeck, which lets you build androids, drones, and mechs. Each can be upgraded and customized, and will help you take down any enemies you target. The gangs of Night City won't know what hit 'em. Arasaka Cyberarms (Image credit: CD Projekt) There's no question that your cyberarms are cool, but are they cool enough? The Arasaka Cyberarms mod by Aanderz gives you a whole bunch of replacement skins for your arms, an entire library for you to choose from. Your arms can look like Iron Man, you can having glowing Mantis blades of several colors, and choose from lots of different decals. The world of Cyberpunk is all about style, so don't settle for arms that look like you bought them off the shelf. Customize them! Cyberpunk: Edgerunners mods (Image credit: ujb33101) Like I said earlier, the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series on Netflix has done a lot to bring old and new players back to Night City. The modding scene is positively bursting with mods based on the anime, and everything from weapons to haircuts to facial presets are being modded into Cyberpunk 2077. There's even a modded radio station that adds music from the show into the game. Check out our article on all the different Edgerunners mods already out there, keeping in mind more being added every day. View the full article

The Edgerunners jacket is a fun little crossover that update 1.6 added to Cyberpunk 2077, and if you've been watching the new Netflix series, you might very well recognise it. This armor piece is styled after the jacket that David Martinez wears in the new Edgerunners anime. If you want his look, or just really like the colour yellow, you might want to grab it for yourself. The only drawback is that you'll have to complete a little quest to earn it. That said, just like getting Nibbles, it's pretty easy to finish this one quick. So, here's how to start the Over the Edge quest in Cyberpunk 2077 and get the Edgerunners jacket for yourself. How to start the Over the Edge quest Image 1 of 3 The quest begins at Megabuilding H4 (Image credit: CD Projekt)Image 2 of 3 You can tell the alley by the green symbol (Image credit: CD Projekt)Image 3 of 3 After you speak to El Capitan and wait, Falco will message you (Image credit: CD Projekt) In order to get David's Jacket, you're going to have to complete the new Over the Edge quest that was added in update 1.6. Head to Megabuilding H4 in Arroyo, in the Santo Domingo district, and look for the little side job icon on the map. This should lead you down an alley with a green symbol painted on the wall and a trash can with a brain dance in it. Use the brain dance and you'll see a brief clip from the Edgerunners series. The next bit is pretty simple; you've just got to text Muamar "El Capitan" Reyes, who'll tell you a little more about David Martinez and ask you to wait while they gather some info. Just skip time for a day or two and Falco will send you a message. He'll tell you that David's crew has disbanded, but that he's left you a little gift with El Capitan. Where to find David's Jacket Image 1 of 2 The jacket is found at the Badlands Dam (Image credit: CD Projekt)Image 2 of 2 I hope you like yellow (Image credit: CD Project) After you've spoken to Falco, you'll get a quest marker telling you to head to the Badlands Dam, where you'll find El Capitan. You don't have to speak to them, just head on over to the wall and you can grab David's Jacket from the case. It's not especially great, but it does have some good mods if you like hitting stuff.
