Hi Guys and Gals,

 

I sent off a ticket to VU. Thanks for the great link there, eliteone!

 

Also, I seem to have regiestered for this forum prior...hmmm....guess I should have actually posted something then, eh?

 

At any rate, you can count on me to help pester VU.

This is what Shiraz said to me... (that has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?)

 

"We apologize for the inconvenience the issue might have caused. Our servers are under maintenance and hence they are temporarily down. Our Engineers are working with high priority to resolve the issue at the earliest. Please try to connect to the online servers at a later time. "

While I understand the frustration you may be having in trying to log on to No One Lives Forever 2; I can assure you that your suggestion that we take our servers and )(*&^)(*&!! up our (*&)(*&!, is by no means constructive, and will not speed up the work of our engineers. You have to understand sir, we are based in a small hut in the outskirts of Mumbai (formerly Bombay). I have not been given a bathroom break as of yet, and I have been working 14 hours straight today. I swear to Ganesha (our Indian god who has the head of an elephant), that if one more of you friggen NOLF2 geeks e-mail me one more time, I will burn this mother-loving hut down to its shallow foundation, and you will not play NOLF2 online ever again! Now leave me to my curried chicken, and let our exausted engineers finish their work!

 

You may receive a seperate e-mail, asking how helpfull you found our response to your concerns. I would appreciate you giving me a positive grading.

No Elite, didnt get a mail back buuuuut.........Maybe I shouldnt have told them to get the finger out of their a$$ and fix the server. Now when I read that response Knix got I think they started to be annoyed :lol:

 

 

Oh well, their backs need to be burning cause I want nolf back !

Well, Im beginning to wonder if maybe its time to take the other road and just bypass their cdkey authentication somehow so we can play again. Don't you think it should have been fixed by now?

While that is an "option" it's not one that can be technically done due to the license agreement of the software.

yeah patti i've gone down this road with E1 before. God forbid we have copywrite infringement. The skies would open up and swallow us whole :D

 

Keep also those peeps from paying for a game that does'nt have a mp server that works :P

Everyone needs to email these people something along these lines

 

We have been unable to play No One Lives Forever 2 Multiplayer for over 3 days now.

We are aware that there is an issue with the master server. Do you have an ETA for restoration of the master server? It is not unreasonable for us to expect this issue to be resolved in a timely manner. 3 days plus now seems to be an excessive timeframe for an outage

Typically, whenever the master server goes down on a weekend, it doesn't come back up until three weekdays later. Usually by Wednesday it is up and going again. Why it takes three day, I have no idea, but three is par for the course.
