A remake of the first Assassin's Creed game was in the works at Ubisoft as of a few years ago, a prominent AC leaker has claimed, while also alleging that the decision's recently been taken to ditch some of Assassin's Creed Hexe's more "magical" elements.

This chatter comes on the heels of Ubisoft finally revealing the much-leaked Black Flag Resynced last week and the news that former Hexe game director Benoit Richer has left the publisher.
