I've ported 3 more maps to nolf2 :)

 

AQUA

Aqua is a water threatment plant, there are pipes going in all directions.

Not everything is what it seems, you'll might find a hidden thing or two.

The map was originally designed for the pegasus mod.

Descr:

 

2 old castleruins divided by a steaming sea of lava, search and find all the pieces of the doomsday device before it's too late.. Keep in mind that you're beeing watched everywhere, not just by the living!

NOLF1 players are going to LOVE playing Club Dead in NOLF2. Spawn has also made it for Contract JACK. I think that's the first map that has spanned all three games!?! :static:

Use a polygrid :)

 

then give it the right 'dims' and a surface texture.. for sqare areas.

if you wanna make it a circle.. Then use a dampenimage as well to decide where the water should be visible

Wow. Hope the maps will be played. All of them are great, but CLUBDEAD for NOLF2 is awesome. You even used the original NOLF1 movie poster images with the heartwarmingly wrong German! I can only say: "Beachtung voraus!". :lol: And I love the little details and secrets!

 

I was walking along the rim of the lava sea of the Gothic map when I surprisingly fell off the map. Don't know if this is reproduceable, it's not serious anyway.

Thanks for telling me about that spot.. I think I know where it might be..

the rest is done with lighteffects and settings in the polygrid..

You can adjust the transparacy, I used a "alpha 0.700" and there is also the basereflection option.. used 0.500 there :)

I've updated Gothic for nolf2 now, a few bugfixes here and there!

 

Fixes in v2.0:

 

- fixed the lava, it hurts more now..

- Sealed off a spot where you could fall through the map

- fixed a missing texture

- rebuilt some 2 rooms

- fixed weapon & ammo issues

These are all bundled up in a nice mappack on the downloads here call the UnityHQ fall05 mappack.

 

Sonic's tww new ones are on it too (also the ones we have running on the UnityHQ Custom DM server)

A thought just hit me.. did you specify a surface texture in the polygrid?

You can easily make one by taking a screenshot of a spit in the map that

you want as a reflection in the water and make it a dtx B)

How in the wide wide world of sports to you access the back walkways in "gothic"?

 

And I see a place for a bomb...but no bomb :(.

 

Tested all the Spawn maps... like the water treatment one the best.

You can't access the walkways behind the bars in DM. It's a DD map, so the map is (almost) symmetric. The bars are simply not there in DD and the walkways lead to the other castle. This also explains the bombing spot. But you CAN blow up the wall even in DM. The bomb is in the cave, near the health pack (opposite to the launcher I believe).

And the timebombs for DD are lying in the area around the batteries/transmitter, BTW! You'll need the bomb that is found on your own team's side to blow up the wall in the enemy castle

I'm not sure if there will be any more maps in a while, pretty busy with reallife stuff :P
