Game crashes on startup, need help

Downloaded nolf 2 and it booted up and ran perfectly fine, but when I boot up nolf 1, it just crashes after the start credits. I downloaded the zip file group so it should be working just fine. The 2nd game runs perfectly fine and I downloaded it off the link on this site. Someone help plz.

what type of hardware are you running it on? 

Use Windows XP compatibility mode with run as administrator.

Also disconnect any wireless USB receivers.
