Well, it looks like something positive finally came out of the gutter.

 

What about a good old group hug? Did the things I read about EliteOne justify what was posted on TGF? No, I don't think so. After reading peoples' explanations, apologies, etc., in this topic, I wonder how on earth all this turned into such a huge bushfire (the B-52's).

 

Now, let's all take a close look at the possible consequences. Some bashed Elite for - I'm just summing up - spending too much time and money on the game. So what? It's her right. As long as she hosts the servers, her own rules apply. We all agree that we want the best for our community, ain't that the main focus in the end?

 

I see no reason why we couldn't finally get along. I appreciate AE's efforts to clarify the meaning of his post at TGF. I appreciate Moody's behaviour, trying his best to keep things cool. I admire EliteOne for not even writing anything in this thread, and remaining silent while we're mostly talking about what she should or shouldn't do. I appreciate all of you, and I want to tell you all how great it is to see such a situation end in a friendly and civilized manner.

 

I'm very sad that Elite had to suffer from all these accusations in order for the situation to calm down, and for us to discover that we DO CARE about our game, and our gaming friends.

 

Next time, we should try not to wait too long to discuss important things. AE, your big mistake was to talk about things that happened ages ago. Now let's move on to more positive things. The main question is: if you disagree with the way EliteOne "rules" our community, what do WE have to offer? What can WE do to make things better? What can WE ALL do?

 

Please, my friends, let's not start such a war again in the future. If we spend half the time and energy involved in bashing others, well, I don't know, mapping, modding, managing servers, creating forums for example, then our game would be safe from harm...

You are really in for this 'frell' aren't you ???? What I am going to do now is something I never did in a public forum because I THOUGHT it was best left forgotten. I will keep the language clean and I will post ONLY my side of the story as clear as possible. I hope this post will not be deleted since I am NOT trying to INSULT ANYONE or ruin ANYONES reputation

 

To those who do not know the details or who were not in nolf when this was going on. Dont reply because you DONT KNOW 'frell'..

 

It was somewere in 2004, I left [sT] once but rejoined after Father promised me he would make certain people STFU. At that moment I was in [sFI] for EFII JO and JKA and can say without doubt that I had fun. Stuff went bad between me and a few other [sT] members and I decided to leave again, this time for good. I held no grudges towards [sT] because some people are simply different and can not work together. |PM|Dr.Evil and Anders.dk offered me to join and become the leader of the |PM|Nolf2 division. I was clanless and I could not join [sFI] nolf2 so I said yes. Mjau left ST to join me in |PM| and we became leaders together bla bla.

 

I had complete peace with [sT] and with everyone else as far as I know. Then one day when I was playing in the SFI JediAcademy server [sFI] Jeffreak approached me and said he was interested in leaving [sFI] and joining |PM|. I didn't know Jeffreak AT ALL but I gave him my msn. Apperently Jeffreak had problems in [sFI] that do not need to be discussed here and he left [sFI] and joined |PM|. Then a few days later I asked Lodingi and BandanaBanks (who were in [sFI] at that moment, dingi still is) if they were interested in leaving [sFI] and joining |PM|. No they weren't too bad for me ). I made a post in the public |PM| forum and it contained the names of the players who are welcome to join |PM| anytime. 2 of them were [sFI] some of them were [WR] some of them were =NU= and others were clanless. This is were the problems started. Apperently [sFI] and [sT] didn't like this. When I woke up at a sunday I saw I had about 15 new email messages from |PM| members and they asked me why they got banned from the [sFI] server. I didn't know what was going on and when I checked the [sT] forum I found myself banned. Same thing for the [sFI] forum. Eliteone told me I was only allowed to join [sFI] even if I was in [sT] for nolf 2. So apperently I did something wrong when I went to |PM| and left [sT]. She asked me to choose between [sFI] or |PM| so I said |PM| and I left [sFI].

 

[sT] [sFI] and [WR] didn't like it that I was openly saying who I would accept in |PM| and who not. [sFI] also didn't like that I offered Bandana Banks and Lodingi a place in |PM|. That is why all the |PM| members were banned on sight. On the [sT] server only I was banned which is something I still respect . The main reason for all this trouble was that |PM| was actively trying to recruit other members and attempting to destroy the Nolf2 community.

 

If you ask my opinion about that it is not true. It works the same as money. When money stays in your own country and when you only receive money from export, your country will only get richer. Sure some people are poor some people are rich. But as long as the cashflow stays in your country your country will maintain its wealth. This is the same stuff in a computergame community. Members leave clans and join other clans. As long as the people do not leave the game nothing is wrong. Some people left their clan to join |PM| other people left their clan to join [sT] or [sFI]. As long as the people stay in the same game nothing goes wrong. That is why I think |PM| wasn't destroying the nolf2 community at all. It was just a new clan looking for new members. But [sFI] and [sT] had the only servers so they were 100% allowed to bann us for ANY reason.

 

Alot of people made accusations towards |PM|. They said we were rude and that we were recruiting people in the [sT] and [sFI] servers. Some said we cheat bla bla but all this wasn't true at all. We NEVER recruited in anyones server, we were NEVER rude in the beginning and we DEFINATELY NEVER cheated. When |PM| started I told everyone to respect the rules other clans have in their servers. That is why I approached Lodingi and Bandana on msn because recruiting in their server is not allowed. In other FPS games I played clans don't really care and ask other clans members often to switch clans. Apperently this was a sensitive subject in nolf2 but I did not know and I did not get a warning or anything at all, my entire clan got banned right at the spot. [sFI] and [sT] invited |PM| to a chat were we could solve the problem. At first I wanted to go but for some reason I was not allowed to be there so |PM|Snake-eyes had to go (yes yes snakeyes not angeleyes).. Since this was completely ridiculous and unfair I used windows remote control and controlled snake-eyes computer and the mirc chat client. (so those who will say I do not know what happened in that chat are WRONG)... |PM| had to promise never to try to recruit other clan's members and various other small promises and the fight was over.

 

The |PM| members were pissed off real bad. I personally didn't care since it is true that we tried to recruit members from other clans although I found it a bit lame that we never even got a warning or a "dude dont try to recruit our members"... I know numerous situations were clans in nolf2 said to someone else "you are welcome here if you ever leave X clan" but I do not have to call names. So instead of creating |PM| as a totally new clan and take part in the nolf community we decided that our only goal was to simply defeat every other clan and then it was over:-). So bla bla bla we defeated every other clan a few times but ST they beat us in the first match bla bla then we got rematch we win bla bla bla I disband PM and join FF5.

 

Like I said SFI and ST were 100% in their right to bann us. They are allowed to bann anyone for ANY reason since the server is their property. However I THINK like I said many times before that nolf2 is the way it is today BECAUSE of the many clanwars that have happened in the past. Every clanwar contains a bann here or there, in a community like CoD this is not a problem. There are 50000+ players. But in a small world like nolf2 every bann means 1 pissed off member. Many PM members told me they would leave nolf after PM was over. Many are gone now too. Trip Roux Robinhood Aeon Mjau and many others too much to type here.

 

I said before in this thread I do not insult SFI or blaim SFI. I just think they made a move of which they did not know the consequences beforehand. The fight started over a simple matter of opinion that is why today the fight still goes on sometimes. It has never really been solved and it wont since it is an opinion. This doesnt matter since |PM| has been disbanded and since I am in FF5 now. But when I read that PrivateMessage eliteone sent to genesis I got pissed. I knew what happened to my clan when it started and I do not wish a similair situation to any other clan because it is overreacted and makes no sense at all. Why I am still pissed at certain people of this community is because they always claimed they had proof PM cheated and recruited in the SFI servers. I asked MANY times to show those screenshots and show them in a public forum, but I always got the lame excuse "nah we dont want to drag you through the mud"... Everyone knows THERE WAS NO PROOF of PM cheating or recruiting in a PUBLIC SERVER..

 

So that brings me to the last part of the post...

 

After that big fight and when |PM| was unbanned we just continued our nolf life. Members came and members left like in every other clan. However there were still numeruous insults in servers from members of certain clans "whaha u cheat" "whaha u talk 'frell' to ppz who host servers" and similair stuff. I was angry because of this because APPERENTLY the LEADERS OF THOSE CERTAIN CLANS. DID NOT REALLY INFORM THEIR MEMBERS THAT THE FIGHT WAS OVER. So I told every |PM| member that if someone comes to you and tlaks smack about you or |PM| you are allowed to bite back. That is were |PM| got its "'wookie'" reputation from. Although many of you know that |PM| wasnt really that bad at all. If you were nice to us we were nice to you. If i was such an 'wookie' the way people described me in the past and SOMEONE IN THIS TOPIC. I would not have been accepted in FF5 AT ALL.

 

 

I hope this post does not get removed because it shows people why I dislike SFI. I tried to keep everything clean and nice and now this guy MAJOR who I have NEVER seen before will know why I will NEVER apologise. I feel other people should Apologise to the nolf community for what happened in the past.

 

No matter what you say. In the days of PM there were NO CHEATS available so it wasnt cheating that made nolf run dry. We used to have 2 full servers and full DM and TDM servers. It ran dry because people did not like the endless clanwars. It is true I had a big part in the clanwar with |PM| but that was only 1 clanwar out of .... 500 ????.

 

 

 

And to add another thing. Just because you host a server for a game does not mean you are jesus. When you host the only servers for a game the community completely depends on you. This means that if you want you can completely ruin it for everyone. Sometimes you make decisions because people broke your rules, but you dont realise those decisions can have multiple effects. (I am not pointing this last part at anyone, i am just saying that a monopoly in servers will always turn out bad even though people dont intend anything bad and host the servers out of good will)

When it comes to the past we all made mistakes. Perhaps I was a total prick for asking other clans members to join and perhaps you were overreacting to bann PM that fast. The problem is there are two sides to every story, Angeleyes. I honestly don't recall every single PM member getting banned and if that happened it was only for a very short time. I distinctly remember talking to eliteone and deciding to ban only those who were being troublemakers. I could argue every point with you, and think I have a few times already, but it clearly solves nothing. Leave the past where it is... behind us. That was so long ago in the world of online gaming it's almost funny. If it's really still upsetting you, then I'll be glad to sit down with you for a private discussion.

 

I've always greatly respected your playing skills while not appreciating your in-game personality. On MSN you're tolerable and I've had some good conversations with you while in forum posts, you're a thorn in my side. You'll notice I, eliteone and SFI have never once attacked you in a forum totally out of the blue like you repeatedly do to SFI. Could you please make an effort to show the same consideration to us? I have nothing to lose by trashing you to the community, yet I don't. You, on the other hand, actually do have something to lose, servers to play in. It's illogical to continue acting the way you do.

 

As for your reasons to not apologize for your actions... I dont accept them. I apologize constantly... it's a way of showing respect and understanding and helps to develop better relationships. It sucks having to swallow your pride at times, I know that very well, but you'll learn some day it's necessary.

I am not repeating the past here I am just showing that whenever a fight starts in a COMMUNITY or a SOCEITY more people will join in and give their opinion.

Understanding why somebody got hurt by what you said or did is not always necessary. You just have to KNOW that you did hurt this person. Then the normal thing to do is to say "sorry", and THEN, maybe -if you feel like it's really necessary- ask how come this person got hurt.
