You may want to reach out to their support people if you're having issues with the version they are hosting.

We have a version here on our downloads that you may want to give a go to.

Are you running it in Windows compatibility mode? Should be run at Windows XP SP2 with administrator rights.,

This version contains the standard 1.004 lithtech. Exe. Try deleting WidescreenGOTY. Rez from the base game folder. That's the only modified part in the nolf revival version compared to a fresh install as far as I know. Atleast it works online then

I realize this might be necromancy, but I've found that having my Logitech G933 headphone USB dongle plugged in causes the game to crash immediately after using the launcher. Unplugged it, game launches normally. I've read some vague assertions that many Logitech USB devices can cause this, but I have no way of proving that.

I discovered this a while ago now. It's not just NOLF, it can affect many old games and it's not just Logitech, can be many USB devices that cause the problem. Headphones are the most common cause but it extends to all kinds of other devices as well.

I've posted the info across a few old game forums for games it affects. The problem occurs on any operating system from Vista on.

Back in the day when these games were all being played by the masses, no idea how many people would've been forced to leave their fav game because they thought they could not run it any longer. Their games simply wouldn't launch because of a USB device they had plugged in.

just wanted to thank you, because i had the same problem and unplugging my usb headset dongle made it go away. its a really strange bug, the kind of which i would never have expected to still exist.

It's really odd, this.

I'm running two instances of NOLF on my main self-built PC, the second instance is really for testing purposes because you can install the game wherever you wish. Both run perfectly with no compatibility modes at all, but do have modernizer and widescreen patch.

However, on my brand new all AMD gaming laptop, it won't go past the launch window. I even tried running it from an external NVMe using a copy from my gaming PC, but no go.

To get this game running is so hit and miss, so I'll try the HID device suggestions, disabling them one by one and see if that works. Apart from that, no other devices are connected.
