Eliteone Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Sci-Fi showed the Season Premeres on StarGate SG-1, StarGate Atlantis and BattleStar Galactica. Post your thoughts. I liked all three for the most part though the new main characters on SG-1 will take a bit getting used too (two of the new characters used to be on Farscape) Quote
Belladonna Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 You know my opinion of Sci-Fi channel. I don't care that Farscape actors are in any of the new shows, I just want Farscape back. Cheap ******ds shouldn't have cancelled it. I have no desire to watch any of the new season after being unimpressed last season with all of them. Battlestar was okay, but being a fan of the original it's very dark to me and just not as enjoyable. Quote

Too many critized Enterprise cause it wasn't "Trek" enough etc. On BattleStar Galactica I noticed Glen A. Larsen's name in the Credit and a Contributing Producer (He created the first one if I'm not mistaken) Reason I mentioned the 2 Farscape actors is they bring a "different" element to SG-1. It's obvious the two have worked together alot and that shows on the show. Quote
Malibu Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 ...Does one dismiss the fact that there were 3 other movies for Batman You know I was trying to forget those other movies, especially Batman and Robin - one of the few movies I have ever walked out of I have been a faithful watcher of SG-1 since beginning when it started on Showtime and had already missed the reduced screentime for the O'Neill character. I am sure I will get used to new characters although I always thought one of strengths of this show was the 4 main characters. It will take some getting used to humor of the Vala character since this show has stayed away from sexual innuendo I was pleasantly surprised with Atlantis show last year. I didn't have much expectations for it but am looking forward to another season. My wife wishes Dr. Weir would start wearing something other than the red v-neck tops - Favorite character here have been McKay Battlestar in comparison has been a little slow-moving but a good compliment to the other shows. The Gaius character has been quite aggrevating in a Dr. Smith type of way When I first got the SciFi cable channel years ago I was quite disappointed in it. However these shows are some of my favorites now. Funny with the amount of TV I watch (esp SciFi stuff) that I don't remember ever watching the Farscape series. Quote
[TNT] Sonic Goo Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 All this talk of remakes prompted me to check out what's happening with that new Blake's 7 series. There's a lot less information on the site than last time I checked, but it does look like something is going to happen... Any of you SF buffs know more? Quote
Malibu Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Nice to see StarGate SG-1, StarGate Atlantis and BattleStar Galactica back on after holidays. BattleStar Galatica by far the best of the lot even though I still watch both the StarGate shows. Quote

[TNT] Sonic Goo Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Hmmm... I've more or less stopped watching scifi on tv. I think I'm going to read some more books, i think. Hopefully they'll have something actually new to offer. Quote
>FoXSy< Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Allow me to be the first jerk to point out that only nerds watch the Sci-fi channel. Quote
Malibu Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Time for a refresh on this thread. Next season for Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis starting on July 14 Not sure when Battlestar Galatica starting up again though. Certainly were left on cliffhangers last season for all 3 Quote
