We learned a lot about Pokémon Sword and Shield last week, so expectations were low when it came to new information surrounding the two entries during today's E3 Nintendo Direct. However, The Pokémon Company did drop a couple of details for one of the Switch's most anticipated releases of 2019.

The Poké Ball Plus controller, which launched alongside last year's Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Eevee, has some minor functionality with Sword and Shield. While you can't use it as a full-fledged controller like you could in Let's Go, Pikachu and Eevee, you can transfer Pokémon to the controller and walk them around. While we don't know what happens when you take them for a walk, Game Freak assures us it's "something good."

In addition, we learned a bit more about the water gym leader in the Galar region. Her name is Nessa, and she can use the new Dynamax ability, which lets her grow her Pokémon to enormous sizes. People who play the game at E3 will be able to battle her.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are set to release on November 15.
