Slngsht
Eeeew I hate rock! I think it's so wild! And why all those rockstats like Marilyn Manson (YUGH) wear make-up??? Are they all gay or what? I better stick to pop! But if I had to chose I would say Queen... Excuse me, i'm now going to watch Madonna's Drowned World DVD with a performance of myself! Hit me baby one more time! 3721[/snapback] hold on a minute.... queen wore makeup too, and yes, they were gay too. Does this disqualify them? [FF5]Knix
Not all of queen was Gay, just Freddy Mercury.
Guest BritneySpears
Eeeeew that looks disgusting. I hate rock! And by the way, my kiss with Madonna was just a commercial stunt. Me and Madge are both married! And I'm sure Christina is normal too! Rammstein eeew

Genesis
Nice pic of Freddy, Goo. I didn't have this one yet Bah, people like Rammstein are stigmatized for showing the dark side of life, or more simply, some dark aspects of human nature. It's just a show... but I guess the purpose is mass-education, in a way On the other hand, I think that most pop stars who've got no message to share and are just in it for the money ARE the dark side of life. I'd rather let my children watch rock videos than stupid, sexist R'n'B all day long. Look at the videos they show on MCM... Scary. Sincerely, I don't see any good reason to watch these videos except the dozens of half-naked girls. Don't tell me that the music is great, if you just listen, it seems like it's the same track going on for 12 hours. Bah, it's time to stop whining and post new stuff... What about Gun Club? Yeeeeeah, Voodoo rock!
Slngsht
yeah, a coworker put on some RnB and hip hop one night and every song was about smacking that (not going to say it), and shaking that booty. I heard absolutely NO substinance or talent the entire night. I about pulled my hair out.
caballero
A few other good ones: REM, The Clash, Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Bill Haley & the Comets. Interesting Elvis hasn't show up yet. Slng, Rap/HipHop can be great if you listen to the right stuff. The Roots - Tipping Point is very good, Atmosphere - Seven's Travels is good if not a little rough. I don't claim to be an expert, but there is talent to be had in the genre. <Withholding cutting remarks about two pop stars favored by a certain someone in the forum>
Slngsht
I'm sure there is, but the talent is hard to find. My problem is that my only exposure to these genres is on ClearChannel radio stations. Those guys are evil.
