Go to C:\Program Files\Fox\No One Lives Forever 2\Profiles (assuming you installed to the default path when you setup NOLF 2)

Open your player.txt file (or name of your profile for example: nanafiend.txt)

Find the line

PlayerName = "player" (this will have the name you put in there in the GUI)

Change it to what you want it to be then save it.

Should display your name as you saved it when you join a server next time.

...cut to 15 characters, as i already said in the post you deleted :P

The post that was deleted served no purpose except to show you know how to use really large font sizes (I shouldn't read into that more now should I :P )

Now why would you need a 30 character name?

if you'd read those big letters, you might have also seen they expressed that it doesn't work in nolf to have a name with more than 15 characters :P

Hey! That's awesome! I knew you could do that with server attributes, but it didn't occur to me that it applied the same to the username.

You know, that bit of information would have been golden if I had known it when I was in ST and RN so I wouldn't have to shorten it to Trigger due to the length. I'll have to try that now.

Yup server side you can set the allowed character size of the names.

I just tried that and it didn't work. I got it to show the full length of the name in player setup, but when I joined a server it cut a letter off the end.
