P!NX Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I was just thinking.. what does nolf2-community think about having matches more regularly!? Since there are 5 Clans now, who have the possibility to form a 8 man team, what u think about having a match every second weekend! Schedule for a single clan would look like: =NS= vs. [DK] on February 1st =NS= vs. [FF5] on February 15th =NS= vs. {SFI} on March 1st =NS= vs. {BAB} on March 15th =NS= vs. [DK] on April 12th =NS= vs. [FF5] on April 26th a.s.o. while other clans have a match running at the same date ... {SFI} vs. {BAB} on February 1st {SFI} vs. [DK] on February 15th {SFI} vs. =NS= on March 1st {SFI} vs. [FF5] on March 15th That would give clans at least a 10 week pause between matches against the same opponent And also there would be a 4 week pause for every clan after 4 matches in a row (cause we have 5 clans, there always needs to be one clan that has no match on a weekend )
[TNT] Sonic Goo Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Regular matches... like in a competition?
P!NX Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 im not thinking of some kind of a league or something, just individual matches but more often!
john_heatman Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 a little bit too often in my professional opinion i mean we sometimes even have a hard time getting a team together in a period of a month :S
Spacko Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I'm gonna have to agree with heatman there. It's a very good thought, but I reckon most clans would have a hard time coming up with so many players regularly. Perhaps a similar but more doable idea would be regular Unity matches (say, one per month?) with different themes. (In addition to regular clan matches, of course.)
Belladonna Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I'm all for regular Unity events. They're fun instead of nerve wracking and people don't have to be in a clan to participate.
P!NX Posted February 18, 2007 Author Posted February 18, 2007 so i get it right, we =NS= are the only ones having a full roster in a matter of hours, in most cases?
blue Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 lol. yes. that is right. the rest of the nolf2 community have lives and don't wait around in desperate agony just waiting for a match to occur, whereas NS has handful of members waiting around on a moment's notice flame on!
Cel Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Well really Blue! Do you have to reply to a perfectly friendly post in such an inflammatory manner? Maybe you dont have a 'life' after all? btw, most of NS are perfectly nice and normal teenagers with very active and happy lives and just make time for a little fun! Please remember that! Cel
Eliteone Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 I'm all for regular Unity events. They're fun instead of nerve wracking and people don't have to be in a clan to participate. Amen all for FUN!!! so i get it right, we =NS= are the only ones having a full roster in a matter of hours, in most cases? uh oh I sense that an ego has been stroked
Spacko Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Okay all, let's try to keep this topic in the productive and positive spirit that it was clearly meant, eh?
Eliteone Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 so i get it right, we =NS= are the only ones having a full roster in a matter of hours, in most cases? see who is ruining it Yup It's a good idea though a bit "aggressive" for some. It's also subject to server admins not ban certain members in a clan just because.
Nines!@TheDisco Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Like kindergarten in here... and btw, my dad's better than your dad! But on topic - NS has a lot of active members and a lot are european, so that might explain why they're quite a few around at the same time. Nice idea still.
KillerGirl Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 this is oneof those things D that sound good in theory but in reality dont really work....especially as ofton as youd like....maybe you and ur clan could start whopping on yourselves while we find some HAX on google.....im jk jk...but seriouly although i like this idea the dates are too close together....my husband will murder me if i have to stay home another weekend just for nolf.....lol
FzyBunnySliprs Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 maybe you and ur clan could start whopping on yourselves while we find some HAX on google And so it deteriorates to the hax accusations again...I guess we all knew someone would take it there. TY KG for being so predicatable. Back to the positive side of things, regular Unity events would be fantastic! St Patty's is coming up. Perhaps an Irish alias theme where everyone signs up and assumes a nice Irish name like O'Malley or McGrady. Just a thought...

FzyBunnySliprs Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I'd like to play as "O'Golly", is that ok? I think that would be lovely. As long as I can play as FzyMcBunny!
Natter Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Every month a fun match...indeed a beautiful idea
P!NX Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 ....my husband will murder me if i have to stay home another weekend just for nolf.....lol Please stay home another weekend just for nolf! Yup It's a good idea though a bit "aggressive" for some. It's also subject to server admins not ban certain members in a clan just because. I still don't get it? Where is the "aggressiveness" ? All i said, is that i wonder that when i post a thread about an upcoming match in our forums, sometimes all the free spots are gone within 2-3 hours after i posted the thread (which is one of the reasons, why i'm matchcoordinator, so i dont have to say "damn no free spots anymore" after only 4 hours of a match being announced ), while other clans hardly can gather 8 players in a period of a month! And now to something indeed intended to be "aggressive": I wonder how it sometimes doesnt take 5 minutes before i get insulted by some of your members after posting something (maybe disagreeing with your ideas) completely "not attacking" in any of the forums ruled by you, while it takes the same people days and weeks (assuming they answer at all) to even reply to an "upcoming match" thread It's also subject to server admins not ban certain members in a clan just because. Good note to yourself that is
Surak Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Sugs! Don't you get it? We are NS, that means that we are all aggressive teenage nerds without a life using hacks!
Belladonna Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 OKay, I'm closing this topic. As usual people can't control themselves and are letting personal feelings cloud their judgement before they post. If you want to go argue then go to the correct area for it. It was a nice idea, sugly, but clearly something the other clans aren't interested in at this time. Oh, and by 'aggressive' eliteone meant that having a schedule that tight is too much for most to handle. It wasn't a personal observation about you.
