    1. Make the game "No One Lives Forever 2" upgrade to version 1.3

    Recover game online after switching off the master servers GameSpy in July 2014.
    Redirect your game from the master servers "GameSpy" (disabled now) on master servers "Qtracker".
    The program adds a few lines in the file "hosts"

    Installing
    ===============
    Automatic installation of the game folder using the path from the registry
    Before installing the package, you need to install the game Contract J.A.C.K. and to upgrade to version 1.1
    Run the game from the Administrator and install compatibility with Windows XP SP3:
    Game shortcut - properties - compatibility - install compatibility with Windows XP SP3 - mark "Launch from Administrator"

    Bugs & Solutions
    ===============
    1. After installing   the WideScreenFix_CJ fix do not open the Display menu and do not change the display resolution through the game menu,   otherwise, geometric distortion will occur on the screen.
    If you accidentally open the display menu and change the display resolution through the game menu,   then exit the game using the "Esc" or "Alt-F4" keys and then re-enter the game.

    2. Graphics distortion on the screen, FPS drops, the game freezes.
    Typically, such a bug occurs on NVIDIA graphics cards after a powerful lighting flash effect, such as an explosion.
    How to fix a bug:
    Disable Dynamic Lighting in the game menu:
    Options -> Perfomance -> Perfomance -> High Detail -> Display -> Dinamic light -> Off
    Or set medium detail in the game menu:
    Options -> Perfomance -> Perfomance -> Medium Detail
    If this does not help, then press the Win key (flag) on the keyboard, the game will be compressed into an icon.
    Then click on the icon, the game will recover with the corrected graphics.

    3. For comfortable and accurate shooting game options in the game do as in picture
    Options -> Controls -> Mouse -> Mouse sensitivity -> minium
    Options -> Controls -> Mouse -> Mouse smooting -> maximum

    By "breaks" I mean what I wrote: it starts, it goes, well, it downloads about 10 or 12 mb (I am trying to download one of URA's mods) and then it stops. Download status: FAILED is what I see. Every time it stops on different amount of downloaded MBs. 10, 12, 7, 16 etc... like something interrups it!

    Installing the patch.
    Unzip folder and Run Patch Nolf_Nolf2_CJ_hosts_Patch_1_1.exe from the Administrator.

    Create your Game-Server and play your games in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3
    You can read your file hosts here C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc \ hosts

    Old file hosts saved in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

    as the file hosts_OLD_1
    Uninstalling
    Run Patch. Click Uninstall

    This file hosts_OLD_1 will be restored as hosts... i.e. Restore the original file hosts

    Create your Game-Server and play your games in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3

    Implementation:

    Patch re-translates requests from the games NOLF, NOLF 2 and Contract J.A.C.K. on the master server Qtracker instead of the master server GameSpy (disabled for now) with the same protocol.

    If people changed their DNS like you've asked then the machines would not be able to browse the internet.

     

    If you mean the QTracker stuff then that involves the hosts file to get it to point correctly.

    Pre In the network settings on your computer, change your primary DNS to: 63.239.170.150

    Some have reported issues with QTracker and Windows 8.1 and 10 FYI. The Multiplayer Launchers made by URA for the games will also do what QTracker is doing.

    One of the two methods should assist you.

     

    As always if you need help post :)

    Old games(NOLF2) and Game-Service "Qtracker" is desirable to install in compatibility mode Windows XP (right button mouse - properties)

    I have Windows 7SP1..

    It is impossible easy to create a Game Server "Contract JACK"! With the mod from the URA is also impossible ...

    Perhaps this is due to the collapse of service GameSpy in 07/2014…

    We have the error "ERROR - Unable to use the selected network service"

    Only, If you change the DNS setting on your computer: 63.239.170.150.

    How to make an automatic script to launch two dedicated servers, one of which with the mod Project-M and the second without mod?

    My bat-file to run a dedicated server with a profile PlayerDM1:

    I launched the classic server Contract J.A.C.K. (v1.1) without mods on one computer (212.3.155.124)
