  1. Sorry CJ players for taking so long. I've just been lazy and didn't finish it right away when I started, but I went back and changed/added some stuff for KNIX's Raceway and Death Mountain so they are now optimized for Contract JACK Pegasus Mod (although the mod is not required to run them)

Drag racing in the raceway...and me on my Harley....

So you can go directly to each file individually or just on the third link to view all of my File Front files and browse from there (also located in my signature)

  2. Yeah go to The [word that rhymes with blue] [place where they make things]...(I don't think that word is illegal to say here is it?) EDIT: Guess it is, so I hinted it to you. :) Anyhow, their forum is a gold mine for DEdit help. Years of collective questions and answers. If I were you I wouldn't even mess with the NOLF2 documentation. It's pretty much worthless in most cases. I think they have good info on AI, but yeah not a lot there. Sounds like you already go a link to Spawnsite.net, which would be my next place to list.

Don't hesitate to PM me with questions if you have them. I understand how frustrating DEdit can be, and I'm still learning myself. Good luck with your house lol!

  3. Yeah, so all of the SFI/UnityHQ servers are not showing up on the server lists guys. DM and DD both. Only seeing the poop server and the two European servers. I guess my real question is will I be able to play my favorite game of NOLF2 tonight?

    Thanks!

  4. Right you are sir. Not only can you play through all of the single player missions (although some are more problematic than others) the ModX1 has altered weapons as I'm sure you noticed. Also, it allows you to play as many characters that are not available in the unmodified version. Some of them aren't animated when you play them in the game, but it's still pretty cool anyhow. If you haven't tried it out yet, I recommend you do.

  5. Some of you have probably already seen this. For those of you who haven't, I'm sharing this link with you so you can watch it. This is where some of the "YouTube stars" make an appearance on South Park and in this video it also shows their original videos (the real people) so if you haven't seen them before you'll know what they are "famous" for.

    South Park LINK

    (the ending is the best)

  6. Sorry but I think I'd rather stub all of my toes than to play in the NS server. Double that for Brian's, but I don't consider than an option anyhow. No offense to NS, but the lag just doesn't get me excited about anything.

  7. well, the music isnt good, its booring, in my opinion!

The game music or the music in your video?

i think for new people they dont care about the FUN in the game..first how it IS..

Oh yes, because why would anyone play a game for FUN. I realize some of you youngsters these days only care about getting top scores in those memorized maps and disabled phos and rocket servers, but news flash this game is NOLF2, a goofy spy game. If you're trying to take the game seriously, you're really missing out on the extras.

and with thoose weapons and mod its looks so final fantasy out...

final fantasy? Never played it, so I wouldn't know but what I've seen looks very different.

i cant say mcuh about the movie, didnt see whole, 2 long, and singelplayer.

lol attention span of a squirrel?

Again you miss my point. This video isn't a promotion video and was never meant to be. I made this for fun. I'm saying that the comical aspects of it are what I'm talking about when I say what you should add "more" in your video. If I were going to make a video to promote NOLF2, I would have a lot of different things in it other than me just goofing around in co-op. I would show the whole range of NOLF2 elements that make it such a great game.

Thanks for your comment by the way.

  8. Well just because I was playing the mod doesn't mean that people will expect to see the exact same thing if they play. I just have to ask about the sword thing though...who cries about the sword being "annoying" again? If no one uses the mod, who's crying? How would that make them a "real" player as well? Just wondering.

By the way, my point was to show humor in the video, not the ModX1. Just because you guys had fire and snowmobiles doesn't make it comical or entertaining for that matter. I'm not saying that my video was hilarious or anything spectacular, but it wasn't a serious video about just another first person shooter game that you can kill people in.

Thanks for the reply though, and despite my criticisms you guys made a good video and I can tell that some work was put into it. I just though it needed...more. That's all.

  9. So I'm posting this video kind of as a response to NS's video to show what I mean when I said the "comical" aspects of NOLF2 that should be shown instead of complete seriousness and non-stop pwnage.

This video actually was taken February 14th, 2008 and was for my own entertainment purposes only but I feel now that it is a perfect example of what I adore about NOLF2 and just what kind of weird and craziness can happen when you stay up late and play NOLF2.

Again, this is just for entertainment obviously and not really meant as an advertisement for NOLF2 although I do hope that it catches some people's attention online who don't know what NOLF2 is.

    (No download required BTW)

  10. We played all the new customs last night and they ran awesome! :mml:

We would have enjoyed playing Clubdead :( , so I hope that we can figure out what's causing it to crash the server so we can get it in there! :)

If there's anything I can do to help you Spawn, you know how to get a hold of me!

  11. That's okay, didn't really care about that just noticed it.

Any way, I went through it again and same thing happened during Clubdead load. I talked to Spawn about it and he thought it was because you had an outdated version of that map but I dunno. You should either update it or perhaps leave it out of the rotation for now because it's only causing the entire server to crash. If I don't do it, the 20 min time limit will switch it there for me and it will crash regardless...and then we don't see any more maps. :(

Also, when coming from War In Wizenthrick Too to Brutal in Brussels my game screen turns black and eventually crashes (not server) This is the second time it's happened. While only a minor inconvenience to me, I thought you might like to know!

  12. Just out of curiosity I didn't see Blue Sky, Cable Car Station, Building Battle Advance, and when I managed to get the rotation to Clubdead, the server froze while loading the map! So the server isn't even on the list anymore. Didn't mean to break your server!

Any who, just thought I'd give you a heads up on that in case you weren't already aware!

  13. well, trigg... This wasnt a serious thing really^^ we did it just for fun..

And as far as i know, people who dontplay nolf2,, thinks all the gadgets are stupid.. ALL my friends is teasing me because iplay game with banan, sleep nades...

Music: well,i f u want old players to join nolf, maybe it fits with 60's music... but for the youngsters we need some rock or rap... no doubt

Lol well if they like rap, I'd prefer they stay away to begin with. :P Whatever though, seriously no one cares what I think about it anyway so don't be a first. ;)

  14. I like what you did, but personally I think you needed to make it longer. Like 7-8 minutes long. If you're going to advertise NOLF2, you need to include the things about it that make it unique, like tags. Banana tagging moments, bear traps, glue, sleeping gas, laughing gas and maybe the swords and shrukens.

It shouldn't have a serious and intense feeling to it as your music kind of implied. Contrary to a lot of player's belief, NOLF2 really isn't a nitty gritty shooter game and personally I don't think it should be taken as one.

You need to have perhaps some humorous music, or 60's music perhaps even some from the game or maybe some Austin Powers. Humor is the key, but also mix in some shooting as well.

That's just my two cents. Other than that I liked it. Good footage you guys!

  15. Cool! I haven't talked to Spawn since last week and I'm interested to hear how it's progressing. BTW, once it's finished I'll be sending Unity a little...motivational present to make putting the new map pack on the UHQ DD Custom server a higher priority.... ;)

  16. I'm proud to present to you all the final cut of my second map, Death Mountain!

This map will be added to the new map pack which will also be released very soon; hopefully less than a week according to Spawn who has been working long and hard to create a grand new system using an updated NOLF2 launcher. No more messing around with Rez files. I'm not going to say any more about that right now. You're just going to have to wait for it to come out!

Back on topic, this is the final cut for Death Mountain and although I'd love for you all to download and view this map, I strongly recommend that you wait until the new map pack is released because it will be included. Not to mention you will save yourself an extra download.

Before I shut up, I'd just like to personally thank everyone who commented on my BETA version and those who gave me feedback. I took all comments into consideration and I think that you will all enjoy the final version.

Also a HUGE thanks to Spawn for helping me with geometry cleanup and optimizing the map's performance. The barrels are also his handy work, but I managed to slap my custom text on the barrels as well if you look at them. ;)

I will say one last thing:

There are five unique secret ammo caches in this map. You will hear a secret sound if you find these areas. I will not reveal these areas for a while in hopes that people will find them on their own. Those who I've already told about these secret areas, please keep this information to yourself for the time being and give others an opportunity to find them on their own.

    That's all folks.

    Enjoy!

    8. Any day now weapons....

    9. I hate this map.

I think that about covers them.

  18. Yeah. I only use lithrez to create .rez files. I use Winrez to view and extract rez files. I know the chances are slim to none of it messing a rez file up, but again it's pure and not to mention it seems like winrez often freezes up easily on my comp if I ask it to do too many things.

    I'm just picky I guess.
