    US Presidential Election

ROFL! I did hear that mama...I just didn't know if it was true. Oh the Irony. Oh yes Mari. Poor, poor, pitiful Hillary. And yet again Mari my point stands. It's all part and parcel. If a candidate cannot conduct him/herself in life, How the hell are they supposed to lead the world Superpower? Mari I understand you tend to sway more toward the Republican party, And that's what makes the world go round , But Hillary Clinton doesn't have the skills. She only pretends that she has the experience. She has changed her beliefs so many times, I feel if we elect her President, we might as well go get a Magic 8 ball from Toy's R Us, Because we'll get a more steady opinion from it.

Are you kidding? Italian leather is one of the best kinds of leather available. It refers to the way they treat the leather. They tan and extract all of the cowhide oils to the surface. They then treat it with a leather conditioner and let it condition for 7-8 months. It makes the leather butter soft. The smell goes away if you leave it outside for a few hours. Spray a Febreze product in it.

I am by no means a label girl guys. I just recommended LV becuase it's nice to see your significant other taking pride in what he gives you. Im sure there is an argument to be made for that too. Most of my bags are from Macy's or Marshalls. I have a couple of deisgner bags, But the problem with them is Im always worrying about them. I like to be able to go to a park and set my bag down without going "OMG I CANT SET MY BAG DOWN IN THAT" . I agree with you Bella, Most of the time I prefer to buy my own gifts. As for the kids in High school. Lets not even go there. My daughter wanted a pair of Manolo Blahniks for Christmas. I told her that was absolutley out of the question. For those of you who don't know about MB, it is a very prestigious company for shoes. I have a pair or two myself, But I am 26 and my feet won't be growing anymore(hopefully). I told her she still has a ways to grow so buying such expensive shoes at this time would be pointless. She went ballistic. Said I didn't know what I was talking about and how If she wants a pair of shoes for christmas I should get them for her. Now a pair of MB's usually runs you about $500 bucks, so you can see my point here. If my daughter wants a hangbag or pair of shoes thats costs that much, she can work for it. Ive told her before there's plenty of ways to make some cash with us, But I will never GIVE you money. On the side of quality. The resale of designer bags is a profitible buisiness. Becuase they last so long, most women sell them and make a significant amount of their money back. Take a look on ebay and you'll see what I mean. But in the grand sceme of things, I could really careless what brand it is as long as it looks good. Alot of my girlfriends have the whole D&G bags and LV bags and GUCCI bags..and they're always worrying about them...Im like puhleeeese.

That's a difficult question Honey. It all depends on if she's a label girl, or not. (By label I mean all the big designers Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabbana, Dior, Gucci, etc) If you think that she might like a designer bag, Louis Vuitton has really inexpensive bags. It also depends on your price range. If its for her birthday, I would go with a Vuitton bag. I don't think I've ever met a woman who didn't appreciate a little piece of luxury. You can look here and find something in your price range Im sure. Although people think they're over played, they make a quality bag. I have a few and the oldest one I have is from 1993. It'll last you a long time.

Florence, Milan, Rome, Venice and Pompeii. I will bring cash, But I was talking to a girlfriend recently who went to Italy and she said that she didn't even need the cash she brought with her. Mari. I have a summer home in Quebec, a house outside knowlton. And every time I go I have to bring enough cash for about a week(or however long Im staying). Even our Visa and Mastercard don't work because of the exange rate and currency. There's an embarrassing story that goes along with that. One of the first times I went up there, I went shopping in Montreal. (all the big designers have shops there) I was In a store and I went to the register expecting to pay with my Visa with a line of 20 people behind me. My card was rejected and I had to step out of line. It was sooooo embarrassing. I was told by people that travelers checks are a No No. They said no-one will accept them.

This is the second or third time I've heard about the atm's. I went to the bank and she insisted that i should get euros ahead of time, But like you said I've heard there are ATM's everywhere so I think i'll just do that.

Great Advice. Thanks! But weren't you uncomfortable taking all your valuables with you? I've always felt weird carrying 100's of dollars with me.. I thought about buying a bunch of KODAK disposable cameras...No? If you have locks on your luggage can you leave it in your room?

Vuitton bags come with a padlock...But I think I might just use a credit card and a small amount of cash. I wouldn't want to draw attention to myself. I've hear many a stories from close friends who have gone to Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, who have come back saying they have been robbed. And alot of my girlfriends are "name-brand" girls who have the whole "big bag" thing, and have bad their bags stolen. So maybe just a credit card and some cash. Any one else have any suggestions? I will be with a group of friends and won't be going to any "clubs" but I've heard it can happen just walking on the street. People who have gone to Italy, What's appropriate in the Hotel room? Im worried the housekeeping might go through my stuff. Any ideas? Just trying to stay a step ahead and not be "targeted" because I am a tourist. I haven't been to Europe in about 12 years so Im nervous about how different it will be. P.S. Mari. You don't even wear mascara honey, I wouldn't expect you to carry a purse. In fact if you said you had I would have had a heart attack No Makeup? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *Gasps*

I actually am looking for good handbag to travel with. Im going to Europe in February. I'll be there for 10 days. (7th-16th). I'll have my louie keepall, but the purses I have are very open (no zippers or clasps)..totes if you want to call them that. So I've been looking for a more secure one since I hear thieves run ram-pet over there. People have been telling me when Im there not to even carry a handbag. In the big cities (Milan, Rome) that the thieves will even cut your pocket to get your money. Any thoughts? And it's going to be cold It hasn't been getting out of the high fifties for 3 weeks now So Im curious as to what to do about that.
