Alright, well I guess I will do them myself then. To make you feel better, I will name them after you just like you named your files after me.
Btw: There are few soundtracks of Nolf avaible on youtube, I'm going to convert that video into mp3 format soundfile, which will be avaible for download and the rest missing, I will record myself. If you could, you could tell me how many different soundtracks there are in Nolf 1 and which level has them, since I haven't played Nolf 1 in a long time...
-
They're in Windows Media Audio (.wma) format. I can convert them to .mp3 if you prefer. Just let me know what you need them in.
Well my WMV could not play that for some reason, but I already got all the music recorded down for Nolf 2. But if you can do the same for Nolf 1 and convert them into mp3, that would be also great, because I haven't done that. Unless you want me to go through the same throuble doing that for Nolf 1...

Oh...glad to see the soundtrack I spent hours on and made for you on my file front page weren't good enough. Always a joy to know.
I'm sorry Trig, but those files couldn't work on my PC, my media player could not play them and my coverter would not accept the format, recording it was the best option I had, and you gotta put it on youtube...

I'm flattered that you recommended me to help, but what you're talking about doing is a very difficult task. I doubt you could manage to get everyone together for such a project, not to mention it's a LOT of work to make any kind of a mod much less an entire game size mod...which I should add nobody would want to download because it's huge...and people are lazy as they have so displayed in the past.
Most of those people you listed (including me) don't feel that going to that kind of effort and putting in that kind of work is even worth it for this game. Every time someone comes out with a new map or mod, hardly anyone is interested in playing it and it makes it hard to feel motivated to want to start a new project, especially something as complicated and difficult as the one you speak of. I plan to make at least two more custom maps for NOLF2 before it's all said and done, but I don't have the time or patients I've decided to work on anything else. Besides, I seriously question the quality of a NOLF3 mod for NOLF2. I mean, if the other guys did something I'm sure it would be cool but.... Spawn has already attempted basically a NOLF2 and 1/2 single player mod which is extremely well done. You should try it. I've offered to help him complete it but again I don't blame him for not doing so. It takes an unbelievable amount of work to make one level let alone a whole bunch of them for a single player mission. Maybe you should get into map making and try it out if you have the time.
I see where you're going at and it makes sense, people these days are lazy and can be dull too. I wish our fanbase would be stronger...

Note: Even though I got all the soundtracks for Nolf 2 recorded, I didn't not post them all on my profile, since they are not on youtube yet, but once I will upload more songs to youtube, I will upload the rest of them for download as well.
Here are the links to list/download the current ones:

and the link to download those(in mp3 format):

You're welcome
PS. I had these for a while, but with the school stuff and the youtube video project I had to hold on to these...

So the soundtracks are at the gluefactory, I though you guys hated them?
-
I'm confused, can you at least post the link and then take the hyperlink out?

Hello? Help? NOLF...SOUNDTRACk...RECORDING?
-
Hello, its me again.
My goal, is to record all of soundtracks from Nolf 1 + 2(I'm going to start with Nolf 2 first) and try to majorly publish it accross the web, youtube, kihindsider, etc.
You see, I have been recording tracks for Nolf 2, and you know how when you listen to every track, it seems that the tune repeates itself several times, but it seems that sometimes when the tune seems to repeat, it seems to be a little bit tweak/different.
I'm not expert at this yet, I just want to make sure what/how much I should record to make it a complete soundtrack.
I need an expert at the one who listen to the soundtracks many times and familiar with it, to either tell me: 1) to record it just as the tune goes by(usually takes 1:20) 2) record it till it completely stops/comes to a hault 3) just tell me the duration of each track
Also notice that each level/enemy/organization have 3 different tracks; casual; disturbance; trouble.
So please if you want to help out on release a sound track finally hear it on your PC/mp3 player, give me an advise on what to record.

Ok, thanks...........

wait, about the stereo mixer, I don't see that on my recording menu, all I see is rear mic, mic and line in, thats it....
-
I actually think it's more fun to PLAY the game, than to discuss it. Do you play Nightmare? I don't recall seeing you in the servers...

I used to play it, but then I couldn't find many people online and I got tired of it, but I was talking about you guys playing word games.
-
If you use Windows Vista right click on the No32Recorder.exe -> properties -> compatibility -> Run this programm in compatibility mode for -> Windows XP (Service Pack 2).. also click at: Disable visual themes and disable desktop composition -> OK
And be sure to activate the stereomixer for recording before you start No32 Recorder.
If you don't use Vista I don't know what's wrong ^^
Thanks, I will try that, does this also applies to basic?
-
Thanks, but I cannot play it on my PC, everytime I lauched it, it gets an error that it stops working...
-
Well I perfectly understand that, but I been on this forums enough and I don't see any topic here discussing about Nolf, except people playing patty cake games with themselves.
I'm not going to argue any longer why Sierra should push out Nolf 3, because you all perfectly understand why and I already explained, but I'm just so pissed off for their actions, they almost never gave the franchise a chance.
And speaking of making the game, I though it was up to publishers, because they are the ones who fund the money and regulate bussiness. Of course I don' think publisher have a total control over the franchise or the developing company, and I gues the developers won't make the game if they don't want to, but thats what I think. Maybe I should blame Monolith instead.
I also think it would be more interesting to discuss about the game, rather than play random word games....

I want Nolf 3 ok? I know you guys remember me of posting this before, but that was long time ago and my patience is running out. I though this would be a good thread to discuss our passion for Nolf.
I'm really attached to this franchised, perhaps the best I have ever encountered. I don't understand why did Nolf had to fall into wrong hads, Sierra. They tottaly ruined the franchise and I bet they personally hate it. Instead they spend their investments into FEAR which has no potential compared to Nolf and Nolf franchise also averaged about 9.0 on gamerankings(thats the site were all review scores are merged).
This game is so unique, it gives you a choice of doing run and gun Rambo or do it the proffecional stealth way. Funny characters, awesome gadgets, lots of weapons and customizations, great story.
I have no idea what they are doing with this franchise, but I'm tired of waiting and guessing on it, it sounds pretty much dead to me.
Sierra is on my most hated Publishers list, those bastards tuined the franchise.
If Nolf 2's ending was the ending of the entire Nolf story, then thats the most pathetic excuse for an ending I have ever seen, it is begging for a third sequal. Why not make it now?
Did CJ really killed the franchise? Or was it a poor attempt on the advertizement, if there was any? Perhaps, Sierra doesn't have any interest at the fans?! CJ is just an expansion pack, I don't think Sierra lost that much money investing into, neither have they lost their effort, because I may not play it, but I can tell by complaints and reviews that it had no effort what so ever.
Just wish the third sequal would be announced, I'm tired of waiting and thinking about it, sometimes I wish I was a millionaire and just invested my money into this franchise myself, but I can't do that, yet perhaps.

Well I do understand that triggerhappy assembled the soundtrack, but the format that I download it in, does not play on my media player and my converter does not recognize the file.
The 30 seconds on free version sounds too short, lol. But I will open my thoughts to anyone else who has a good idea for me to record that soundtrack.
-
I want to download it so I can record the soundtrack in Nolf 1 and 2 and share it. So can you body give me a link to it?
-
Thanks guys, but I wanted to mention this earlier that this files cannot be played on my WMP, or any players. I tried to convert it, but my converter does not recognize the file, any suggestions?
-
thanks, thats a lot of work though....
-
Wow, trigger, you are gold, keep those songs coming.
Also, is it just me, or there's a song(file) named after me?
-
Omg that would be so cool
Nolf 4 ever.and ever and ever and ever...

Anybody has the Nolf 1 soundtracks Speak now
in NOLF1
Posted
Just want to make sure that nobody here has the soundtrack from Nolf 1, because I do not want to waste effort and then somebody had it all along. So if you do, give us the links, if nobody has it, then I will just record it myself.
