Do you start NOLF2 as administrator? If not Windows User Account Control (UAC) feature can block the game from making the save folder when the game is installed in C:\Program Files (x86) and I believe Running as Admin will help with this. I install older games to C:\Game to get around UAC.
Try running the game as Admin, start a new single player game and see the there is a Save folder now or you can make one like Eliteone says.
-
The save folder for single player is:
No One Lives Forever 2\Save\Player\SinglePlayer
Inside this folder is where the .sav files are.
Note: Player is the default profile name, yours maybe different if you changed/made a profile

I uploaded all my old CJ mods that I still have to here, unfortunately I lost some mods when my HDD crashed (I'm bad at making backups).
I don't remember which or if any include SP Coop, but I'll add SP Coop to my todo list on my current work in progress mod

-
Did you extract/install to the Custom\Mods folder in NOLF2's main folder?
Default location under 32bit Windows: C:\Program Files\Fox\No One Lives Forever 2\Custom\Mods
Default location under 64bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Fox\No One Lives Forever 2\Custom\Mods

Hi again. Doesn't solve my probs. Starting in dedit wasnt the clue as i thought before. I even tried deactivating the intelchip without success. I can select integrated or switchable graphic in the bios and i guess integrated means intel. It sucks. Installed direct x8.1 too. Read in a forum that the switchable graphic systems selects the high performance graphicchip when the program uses direct x 10 or higher. Right?
Disabling the integrated graphics (Intel) from the BIOS should have worked (works for my desktop when I upgraded) and left you only using the Radeon.
I'm not sure what triggers the better graphics on a switchable graphics system, but installing DirectX 8.1 won't have any effect on Windows 7 (DirectX tends to be backwards compatible).
-
Hmm... well I guess DirectX 8.1 games aren't the problem then.
Yes it is possible to use dedit to run & join a game (but will be a pain to edit & use every time), but test to see if this works first: http://ura.exofire.net/downloads/launch.zip
Extract into CJ's main folder (also works with NOLF2) and start launch.bat.
-
I also have a 64bit system running Windows 7 and the only thing wrong with NOLF2 & CJ is that they are DirectX 8.1 games. But games like Unreal Tournament 3 support later versions of DirectX (9, 10 & 11).
If you can't get the switchable graphics to work, you can try temporary disabling the Intel HD 3000 in Windows from the Device Manager (please note: I don't know what effect may happen by disabling video hardware from the Device Manager) or from the BIOS.
-
My gut tells me that the Intel HD Graphics 4000 is the problem. Is this a laptop with switchable graphics or a desktop with integrated and dedicated graphics?
If it's the latter, then I would try disabling the Intel graphics and only use the Radeon HD via the BIOS. But if it's a laptop with switchable graphics, then I have no good idea other than temporary disabling the Intel graphics.
-
Maybe adding Lithtech.exe to High Performance as well and testing in game to see if you get a black screen from acid damage.
Another thing that may be worth trying, add to the command line:
++CardDesc aticfx32.dll ++Renderer "AMD Radeon HD 7600M Series"

When *Offline* appears, it means 1 of 2 things;
1. That it was not able to query the server. Meaning that port forwarding isn't setup for the server or a firewall is blocking it.
2. Just a bug, if you and others are able to join your server, then it's a bug that also affects me too that I blame my router/network config

I can't help much with switchable graphics, as my newest laptop is just an older Dell desktop replacement, but I believe you are right that the Intel HD 3000 is cause.
However I found this on another forum:
Actually you will find that the AMD7670m drivers have NOT been installed as part of the build!!
1) Insert the provided Drivers Disk.
2) Click on Next
3) Scroll down to the AMD Raeon Driver
4) Click on, then click on EXTRACT
5) The drivers will install
Aonce installd you will the be able to do the "Right click on the desktop" and get the "configure switchable graphics", which you do by individual appliaction, either recently run ones show up, or you can browse to associate. And then set to either "Power Saving" (HD4000) or "High Performance" (AMD7670)Source: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/367868-33-built-radeon-7670m-intel-4000#t2869734

Unfortunately, those tools aren't 100% compatible with NOLF2. In later versions of the Jupiter engine new data was added to map files (about 28bytes per vert, iirc). Also some object data can cause a map to crash the game.
-
LivesForever in custom Mods
and my DM_BLOCKFORT.REZ in resources
i tried doing a simple replacement map rename and that even crashes
also crashes with 100% of no mods applied
By any chance, was the map compiled for NOLF2?

Maybe this will help, when you are ready to process your map, start the World Processor and set the ProjectPath (click the "..." button and browse for your dedit project file (TO2.DEP)).
-
I would recommend setting up a profile in game for each server (all using different ports) and setting up port forwarding for the servers (host port & query port (e.g., 27888 & 27889, 28888 & 28889, ect)).
When you start NOLF2Srv.exe and have more than one profile, a window will appear where you can select what profile to host with.
Assuming everything is configured, each server should work.

Hello

It seems like the ProjectPath in the World Processor isn't correct, start the World Processor and click on the button next to ProjectPath and browse for the DEdit project file (TO2.dep).
Now the textures should show in game when you process new maps.

I had some mouse sensitivity issues before (between normal and too slow), but enabling v-sync in my display drivers worked for me.
I have a MX610 lefty and SetPoint's key binding works most of the time, I have wheel tilt left & right set to 3 & 4 for weapon hotkeys and works in NOLF, NOLF2 & CJ.
-
The **offline** message means that the query failed.
Most likely due to the ports (27888 & 27889) not being open/forwarded.
You will need to setup port forwarding in your router for the Game Port (27888) & the Query Port (+1 of the Game Port).

Your version doesn't have this problem I take it?
Last I checked, no (other than it not liking your skills fix for non coop modes
) -
Well, it doesn't really have to run LivesForever, there are less popular alternativesThe server has to run Livesdorever or else you won't be able to connect to it.

Multiplayer Launcher v1.0 and Server Mod v1.0 are now ready for download

What is it/what it does
Multiplayer Launcher: it replaces the default game launcher and includes a built in server list, it also adds a few little features like auto mod loading and widescreen with proper FOV settings.
Server Mod: it replaces the dedicated game server with one that sends out data to be added to a server list(s).
Please report any bugs to this topic.
Known bugs:
Game crashes when using a high resolution (e.g., 1920x1080), this is really a bug with CJ and not the Launcher.

Thank you.
Don't worry, the resolution list is only limited by video drivers, supported display modes and Direct3D
