I'm still trying to understand overall what Agent224 is saying in his posts but I'm pretty certain now that this map he's submitting and the one he discussed in the other 'old vs young' topic are two different maps. If that's true then there isn't any problem with us adding this one to the downloads as it isn't a map someone else made. It sounds like it was all a misunderstanding.
As for the swearing, I don't quite buy the excuse I was given, but I'm not going to dwell on it any longer. The truth is out there.

It's great that you want to bring maps made for CJ into NOLF2, but this isn't 'your' map. Unless you put in the 'read me' that this is a copy of Sgt. Pepper's map which you've converted for NOLF2 I don't want to host it. Someone else put a lot of work into this so they should get the credit for it. Once you've done that give me a link to the new version and we'll host it at UnityHQ. BTW, have you tried to contact him at all about this? I don't think he'll mind and technically once a map is posted it's public domain, but it's still the right thing to do.

I know how you feel, Zymon. Lately I've been going in a server (usually DM) and waiting for someone to come while reading or making jewelry. Most of the time within 1/2 hour a couple people show up. I miss the days of lots of full servers but I find it's even more enjoyable to play now once we get going because I know everyone and am friends with them. It's more about fun than getting the highest score.

Everyone needs to move to the east coast US, that would fix everything.

We had a good time in DM last night. There were a couple players using aliases or I simply don't remember them but it was fun. I'm going to keep trying to be on around 10:00pm eastern on weekdays so some of us on the east coast can get a little NOLFing in before the west coast guys show up around midnight when we're too tired to play.

It gets lonely in there at 9:30 so tonight I'm going to wait till after 10:00. If it's empty in DD I'll be waiting in DM. In case anyone cares and wants to join me.

Every evening around 11:00pm eastern people turn out to play, sometimes with a nearly full server. Weekends should fare a little better during the daytime. Nice to have you back!

Sierra, Monolith, Fox, whomever.... none of them have any interest in doing a single thing to help NOLF2. It simply isn't going to bring in any more money so there is no reason to even consider making an update. It sucks, I wish it wasn't so, but after all these years without any real help from them I think it's pretty obvious there will be none coming. Oh, and there won't be a NOLF3 either, since I'm the voice of doom today.
Honestly, I don't see the problem. There are servers with the mod and some without so the existence of the anti-cheat shouldn't have any effect on who plays the game. Unless, of course, all your friends play in the anti-cheat and you can't play good without a cheat that IS detected by the mod. I can see how in that case it would keep a few people away, but not enough to 'kill the game'.
Those who love the game will always be around until someone finally makes a game as fun and unique as NOLF2. I don't see that happening so us loyal few will probably be here for years, with or without anti-cheats.

OMG! That is freaking amazing, Noah! I can't believe what an amazing job you've done getting it to look just like on the show! I don't think I've looked forward to a map this much in ages. No offense to the great mappers out there who already did fantastic maps, but come on, it's the Brady Bunch! I grew up watching that show. If there is anything I can do to help, just ask, Noah.

As usual I don't have a clue, but you might want to take a look at the NOLF2 Technical Help section in the forums while waiting for someone to reply here. Maybe something there can help you out?

Thanks, Old Salt! I wasn't keeping track of anything, btw. I'm just glad there are generous people like you otherwise it'd be hard to keep things running now and then, especially since we blew most of our savings to celebrate our 20th anniversary by taking a cruise. The kids get to eat macaroni and cheese for a year now. lol!

I was just going to post that Goo. What this article talks about is that Sierra has announced that they are taking down the master servers for 21 of their games, as of 1st November 2008, including the server for NOLF 2.
The following game servers will be shut down as of 11/01/08:
