    Here is a link from BahamutZero who wrote a nice terrain tutorial. It will apply to your question because it will show you how to create a single sided brush made up of right angle triangles. In turn you can then manipulate the vertices to create your curved path

    Really nice job your doin, in the Thief Community there is tons of Fan missions being made all the time and I play them alot.

     

    Not so many are made for nolf unfortunatley, so thank you it's really fun playing :D

    About brtd, I ofc choosed that one at customs and when I get into the game it says 1.3, BRTD in the right corner so it shud be right, still when I open up the chapter list only the maincampaign lavels are there :(

     

    I tried with GrowOp and that one worked fine :/

     

    And since I can check brtd in the startup launcher I havent misplaced it right?

     

    That is really strange? Do you see my modified interface when you load up the game? (the red screen with the soviet soldier? Double check my readme file, maybe there is something you missed.

     

    I also just realized that when my mod is enabled, you can simply start a new game without having to go into the chapterlist.

     

    Launch Nolf2 / Singleplayer / new game / choose difficulty

     

    I can't believe i missed this?! :huh:

  4. I have finsihed the game but I've reinstalled.

    So I've clicked that chapterlist fixer and the chapter comes up, shud the map be loacted there with the other SP levels?

     

    Cus I can't find it :/

     

    Hey TG* Zymon, (nice Thief Avatar, i miss that game)

     

    Did you enable my mod through the NOLF2 startup launcher? When you first launch Nolf2, select the custom tab, you will see my mod listing "BRTD". Make sure this is checked.

     

    Now launch Nolf2, go into singleplayer / chapterlist

     

    my mod will be the only one on the list.

  5. btw. you are a really good mapper! You should make some Doomsday maps :)

     

    To be honost , i never really got into multiplayer gaming (mostly online Co-op with a buddy). I'm not even sure what would make a good Doomsday map :D

  6. is there a possibility to play the 2 levels of yours (together with the rest of the game maybe...) as coop mission? that'd be sweet

     

    hey john,

     

    I am actually looking into this. My GrowOp level was having some transition issues (it's made of 3 maps), when you finish the first map, it wont transition to the next. If i do manage to get it working , you will probably still have to play each level, one rez at a time. There would be some major textures / attributes/ conflicts/ if both levels were in one rez. I'll keep you posted......

    The Vodka bottle is the molotov cocktail weapon item. I'm not sure what else you would like a molotov cocktail to do?

    BETTER RED THAN DEAD : Nolf 2 SP Level by Johnny LaRue (March/07)

    Cate is imprisoned in a Soviet outpost & must escape. This mission has more of a "hard edge" to it as Cate is a little bloodied up & there isn't as much gadget play compared to my previous level. Includes increased blood spray/splatter, custom skins, custom textures, modified sniper rifle, molotov cocktails, cinematics & a walkthru.

     

    INSTALLATION:

    =============

     

    Extract the Better Red Than Dead.rar file

    you should get a BRTD folder, put this folder into your NOLF2 \ Custom \ Mods directory (if you dont have a custom/mods directory you may have to create them).

     

    e.g. NOLF2 \ Custom \ Mods \ BRTD \ BRTD.rez

     

    now fire up the NOLF 2 Launcher, & hit the custom tab & there should be a listing for "BRTD". Check the BRTD slot & then run the game. Go into singleplayer, then chapter list, & my mod will be the only mission on the list, select it & play! (**i made this mod with nolf2 v1.3)

     

    If you have not finished NOLF2, the chapter list option will not show up in the Singleplayer interface. Just doubleclick on the included ChapterListFix.reg file & select "yes" when prompted. (thanx to Alexa & Discomime)

     

    **Note** do not skip the starting intro cinematic (it's not that long ayways), if you try to skip it, it will only stop the camera & the cinematic won't run the way it's supposed too. Sorry about that, Nolf2 cinematics are a *****.

     

    Build Time: 10 months on & off

  9. Discomime, my apolgies man, I assumed that any sort of save would enable the chapterlist but I was mistaken. I wonder if anyone else had this problem? Thanx Alexa for giving Discomime the heads up. I will update my readme & include a .reg file.

     

    The idea for Northern Michigan was just to add to the "tongue in cheek" theme of my map. I didnt want to specify what town/city incase someone was from there. :D I have done some kayaking up there off of Lake Huron & its actually quite scenic.

     

    Alexa, i am glad you enjoyed the map, If you had a chance to browse my webpage there was another sp level I was working on but I shelved it several months ago. It is called "Better Red Than Dead". I plan on revamping/improving it in the next month. The level construction itself is pretty much complete, I just have to clean up some of my geometry & tweak the AI & dynamic lights.

    Now that you mention it, I did brainstorm about making a "Tron themed" Nolf2 Map a while back. I was going to make something along the lines that half of the map is spent in the real world & then you enter some H.A.R.M Portal that sends you into the tron digitized environment. It would involve some major importing of textures/sounds & I would attempt to have the Tron first person look in the digitized world as opposed to still having Cate's default FPS arms/guns. Needles to say it would be one hell of an undertaking!

     

    I see you changed your avatar. That lauren bacall avatar you used to have was a real treat, she was a real fox back then. Her & Bogey were quite the couple.

    i gave it a shot but i couldnt get it to work. in Nolf2 when you place a weapon item in a level , you are able to pick it up (using the action key) , but for some reason in Tron , even after pressing the action key the disc goes into your inventory but the disc model stays in the game world. i keep hitting brick walls with tron dedit but maybe its source still has enough differences than NOLF2. im gonna give LDSO's site a shot

  13. greetings to the unityhq community!

     

    im constructing a sp map & i put a weapon item object on my

    map so i can pick up the tron disc but i want to set it up so it will make a sound when i pick it up

    & it will disappear from the game world once i grab it. i noticed in the weapon item properties

    tab that there is an option for "pickup command". is there a setting i need to enter here? do i

    need a trigger with a soundfx? i was also curious about how you can have weapons already in the players inventory when the level starts up.

     

    Question #2

     

    AI - i have a couple AI in my map but their heads & part of their bodies are black. i have used

    different settings with ambient / object lights but i cant seem to light them up fully even though

    the rest of my map is lit up fine.

     

    any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx
