  1. hmm nice. i tried this screenwidth, screenheight thingy before to arrange the game for 1650x1080, but the result was some sort of oversized screen where health- and armorbar were below the lower edge of the screen. now those pvmodelaspect and pvmodelfov values fixed this issue... just too bad i dont play the game anymore :P

  2. How can i run Nolf2 in a window???

It looks not good on widescreen..all players are very fat

Are you sure you want to run it in windowed mode? Seeing the desktop in the background while playing is quite disturbing.. atleast for me. I have a widescreen monitor too but for nolf2 i simply activate the "4:3 in Wide" mode (Your monitor should have that option too). You still play in "full-screen" except that there are black bars on each side of the picture. For example: On a 22" screen, the picture is displayed in normal 19" resolution of 1280x1024 and the rest of the screen is filled up with vertical black bars. Just like with 16:9 movies on a 4:3 TV :) .

May u can help with sound...my new PC want play Nolf sound..

Is it just with Nolf or do you have soundissues with other applications too? Since it's a new PC you have, you might have forgotten to install the sounddrivers or your PC tries to play the sound via the wrong device.

Have you made sure that sound is turned on in the nolf options?

What Soundcard do you have? Some soundcards have "issues" with Direct Sound 3D on Windows Vista such as the Creative X-Fi cards.

  3. Is there something like that? So I'm able to walk in cutscenes? Thanks!

Why would you want to do this? Want to kill the director in those moments where Cate and Armstrong fail doing it? :P

  4. hmm whenever i had a similar problem, i uninstalled nolf2, deleted ALL possible files and folders of nolf2, wiped out any leftovers of the registry entries for nolf2, then restarted the pc, installed the game and it worked fine.

If using vista x64, your problem could also be the soundcard! I've been experiencing problems with my creative x-fi card in combination with the ALchemy program, which first caused my game to freeze completely and then after a restart didnt even start. (MFC client.. ) Vista x64 creates some sort of dummy-folders in the registry... i deleted them, deleted OpenAL, reinstalled OpenAL .. and it's working ever since, lol. No idea if this was it, what fixed the problem.

  5. It's rather an issue with your ISP's Oversea-connections, since i dont see high pings listed for any american server. Used to have a similar problem back in the days too. 450 ping on old old old =NS= and {SFI} server for maybe 3 weeks, then it returned to normal ~170 ping.

  6. uhm a few are, but the most are from america or other parts of the world

i had trouble with level 10, but i guess you'll come past it without a problem, cause it's no real "quest" but simply a lil difficult

  7. green light = step on the field below it and you won't die (watch up before you make your move ;) )

stand close to and aim at the lamps on the columns ;)

when you are before the last field, sprint over it while the thorns move back up :)

hope this helps, if you're still stuck afterwards i'll give you a more detailed explanation

  8. yes true, it's pretty abandoned these days... but now and then people meet in the servers and play for a few rounds, but there is no regular time i think, atleast not for us euros

  9. I can't see the point why an anticheatmod should cause a bug like this, so i tried it out (on NS server) and it works the same way as it did before.

If you try to shoot a nana like this, it won't work (atleast i didnt ever manage it that way), but it was the same on retail.

    Scr69.jpg

Shooting the edge of the doorframe right above the nana "kills" the nana, like it did on retail too.

    scr70.jpg

Shooting the nana from the other side also works the same way as it did on 1.3 retail. Shoot the edge of the doorframe right above the nana and it will pop up as shown on the screenshot.

  10. oh right :) i totally forgot the things that you called me and nixsa :)

"boring... not possible if you play clean" ... "aimbot a**" ... "yeah he thinks cheating is cool" ... "his gun follows my head faster than i can move" ... "increased damage ... modified game file" ... "changed leanangle to lean invisible" ... nice

  11. just like how the default ninja skin is easier to see in japan than an agent in a dark trench coat.

trust me on this one...it is all matter on what your eye is use to and how long you have been playing

I agree with sly on this one. Unlike Blue says, for me the ninjas are harder to see in the dark than the trenchies (I don't like Japan in general :P)

Then some people prefer a light blue cross-hair, others need a yellow one to feel "comfortable". Some need the motion blurring, others don't a.s.o.

First time i hear that a thing like that is possible  but personally i don't care whether some players use it or not, i like it the natural way :)

  12. in the Oceanic Map of Singleplayer, there is a platform outside the actual map where you sometimes respawn when getting killed and not revived when playing the singleplayer missions in coop. No chance to get back into the map from there, except adjusting superjump and trying to jump back into the map.

In the Khios SP-Map, same situation, you respawn on a wavy ground in nolf2 colors. You can see many (maybe all) characters who appear during the SP gathered on one spot. No chance to get back on the map from there, not even with superjump, cause you can't see where the map is actually :)

  13. Strange, If you got this natter, all other german versions should have it too isnt it?? and pinx doesnt have it?

    And for solution, no idea!

True, but i applied the english version of the 1.3 patch (to get rid of the censoring (no blood, no screaming when being hit, no burning bodies when hit by phos or phos nade, which is a major disadvantage cause you cant hear/see whether you have hit somebody or not)

I had problems with the earlier version of the mod as you can see in my first post (it worked with the english game.rez then) but no problems with the current 1.32 version.

This will solve the common flame wars in the servers...

For a week or two probably. After that, the wars will start over again <_< I would be glad if i'm wrong about this.

Anyways, whenever I try to run this mod (without the above file), I keep getting kicked from my own server and I find this in the console:

** URA (XXII) kicked for invalid mpweapons.txt! **

Could it be that u mistakenly rezzed a modified mpweapons.txt of your experiments with your weapon mods?

  14. ah well, great to see that dan fixed the incompatibilities with the exp-fix 1.3 and the german version of the game.rez

with the earlier version of the fix (1.3)--->

    ppi.jpg

    ppideen.jpg

...which was bs anyways, cause that popupitems isn't relevant in nolf2 mp -.-

I'll update my server with that file as soon as the other 2 servers have it. (I'll be the last to update)
