    The Return of the Gweonid Lantern Festival

    The Gweonid Lantern Festival has returned. Light up the sky in memory of the brave Aranzeb in the 2021 Lantern Festival beginning February 18. After the maintenance, watch the night sky over Gweonid Forest comes alive and sparkle in thousands of lights as the zone turns to a festival period to let the East and the West come together as one in peace to honor the fallen during the fall of Auroria.

    To reach Gweonid Forest, you can either travel by foot, teleport using your Teleport Book, or make use of one of the Gweonid Forest Festival Worldgates present in your Faction Base.

    How do I participate?

    Players level 10 and higher can begin their journey of giving thanks by speaking with NPC Denissi and assist in creating a lantern. NPCs Rojuni and Yallie offer even more ways to earn Lantern Festival Coins, too!

    3 times each day, when the mysterious Yata Lantern appears, visit Mellius at 2 PM, 7 PM, and 12:00 AM UTC in Europe, or 12:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 10:00 PM PDT in North America to find out what to do with it. Mellius will hang around for an hour each time, so worry not.

    Use the Lantern Candle to help light the Dimmed Yata Lantern and transform it into a Lit Yata Lantern! Once the lantern is lit, your quest will be complete, and youll be awarded 3 Lantern Festival Coins, 1 Glimmershine Essence, and a special Gweonid Elixir buff offering +3% Evasion, +41 Attack Speed, and -4% Cast Time for 1 hour.

    Additionally, you can receive additional Lantern Festival Coins by completing Achievements!

    What can I receive?

    All your hard work will not go unnoticed! Receive Lantern Festival Coins from doing the Festival quests and completing the achievements. Afterward, spend your hard-earned Coins at the Festival Gift Exchanger on Mirage Isle for some pretty cool items!

    Server Evolutions are coming to ArcheAge

    ArcheAge servers will be evolving soon, allowing you to meet new allies and forge new alliances along the way. Server Evolutions will be making their way to you this March!

    When will the Server Evolution take place?
    The Server Evolution is scheduled to take place on March 11, 2021 for the ArcheAge Free-to-Play servers.

    Which Servers are Affected?
    After carefully looking at the active populations of all servers, we have determined which servers will be involved in the merge process and how they will be combined. Once these servers are merged, the resulting new servers’ populations will be roughly equal to each other in terms of population.

    ArcheAge Free-to-Play
    On NA, Kadum and Nui will be merged to form Dochul.
    On EU, Taris and Ezi will be merged to form Arkanis.

    I’m on an affected server! What now?
    Be sure to prepare yourself for the upcoming evolution by clearing out your mailbox, selling your additional tradepacks and that's it! Your character will be evolved onto the new server after the maintenance and everything else will be taken care of. Be sure to get in your final sales before the Auction Houses lock preventing future sales.

    What is the Schedule for Evolution?
    For ArcheAge:
    March 9, 2021: Auction Houses will be locked. No new auctions can be created on any server that is evolving.
    March 10, 2021: The Siege slated for this day will be cancelled to prepare for the evolution.
    March 11, 2021: ArcheAge will be unavailable as we perform Evolution related maintenance.
    March 13, 2021: North American and European servers will be brought back online at separate times. During these periods, we may launch a single server at a time in order to control server loads and give everyone a chance to log in. During this time there may be queues on Evolution worlds due to the number of players attempting to log in at once.
    March 20, 2021: ArcheAge Land Rush begins. Time TBD.
    April 4, 2021: Candidates are qualified and announced, hero elections begin.
    April 11, 2021: Evolved Servers' castle claim period.

    Saving Everyone's Valentine's Day

    Chocolate Merchant Piero is back at it again, delivering delicious chocolate to the peoples of Erenor this Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, he finds himself in a sticky situation that could prevent the timely delivery of chocolate. Help Piero fulfill his chocolate deliveries and save Everyone's Valentine's Day before time runs out!

    Adventurers level 30 or higher are eligible for participation in this task beginning February 11. Deliver the chocolates in one piece, and Piero may reward you with some coins for your effort.

    Your quest and journey begins at the Marianople Fountain and speaking with NPC Chocolate Merchant Piero! For those not in the Nuian faction, fret not! There will be worldgates in Austera and Diamond Shores to get to Marianople. Of course, to ensure the event is lovely and cheerful, Marianople will enter the festival peace period to ensure everyone has a grand time!

    My deliveries are a success! What next?

    After completing your various deliveries, Piero will reward you with Valentine's Day Festival Coins, which are exchangeable for the following items at the Festival Gift Exchanger in Mirage Isle:

    It's a long but oh so creative and exciting journey that awaits you! To be on your way to victory - and who knows, maybe the grand prize? - we want to be kept updated on every step of your cosplay creation process!

    Indeed, you will not only be judged by the final result of your cosplay - however beautiful it may be - but by all the stages of your work. You will have to show us several steps of your creative process, whether via video, pictures, social media posts, or even an article on your blog!     FAQ: #gamigo Cosplay Contest

    In case of questions, the team has prepared a short FAQ for you!


    1) Is experience in cosplay required to enter the contest?
    No! Everybody has a chance to win, whether you are a beginner or an experienced cosplayer!

    2) Can I enter the contest by only posting the final result of my cosplay without giving updates during the entry period?
    No. Posting only the final result of your cosplay will make you ineligible for the contest. You are required to provide weekly updates using #cosplay and #ArcheAge/#AAUnchained on your creative process.

    3) Instead of weekly updates, can I make one update detailing the entire creative process?
    No, weekly updates using the contest hashtags are necessary to have an eligible entry.

    4) If I am one of the lucky winners, do I have to participate in the gamigo Livestream?
    Although the winners are all invited to participate, it is not mandatory.

    5) Does everything in the cosplay have to be self-made?
    Not everything, but most of it! Don't worry; you won't be disqualified from the contest because you purchase a hair clip or shoes that fit your cosplay perfectly. On the other hand, a little DIY effort and creativity are required but don't enter the contest using a pre-made purchased costume.

    6) Can I enter the gamigo Cosplayer Contest with a friend?
    Group submissions are not allowed in this contest. One entry counts for one person.

    7) Since there are male and female versions of each costume, is it possible to cosplay a gendered costume different from mine?
    Absolutely! You can choose which gender version of a costume you want to cosplay independently of your gender/sex.

    8) Will other gamigo games participate in the future?
    If it's requested, we will think about it!
