    Well I liked your wee video Triggerhappy :)

     

    It shows the fun in coop and the single player maps.

     

    Our video was all about NS and the dd scene but this one highlights the relaxed nature and fun of coop. I often think that coop is so overlooked in the Nolf community. But that is the place where the fun is so consistent maybe because of the lack of pressure and competition. :guitar:

     

    Ohh and I enjoy so much playing with mods in coop. It was funny seeing the ones you had there! :D

    Well Moo :)

     

    Those pictures also show wall hacks being used too.

     

    As far as I know you cant change the size of the object just the actual skin/colour etc.

     

    I guess thats enough though when some have the benefit of those colour changes and others dont. I think thats an advantage.

    I havent any pictures of chams from Nolf except for the custom skins that SparedLife makes which most of you will be familiar with already.

    Oh. I remember that being a big problem in NOLF1 and I hated it when people used the textures like that but in NOLF2 you have to have the server hosting the skin for it to work, don't you?

     

    No. The chams in question give the creator/user only the effects. No one else can see the colours they apply and to where they apply them.

     

    They may choose to just colour the wallpaper or floors but my concern is that some are using these to colour players heads, guns or other parts that make shooting easier.

     

    Well I agree with Blue that they are most commonly being used to give an advantage. Of course we have added chams to our server rules now since we discovered their existence but the problem is some players feel we are stifling their 'creativity'.

    Hi Everyone :)

     

    I just want to find out how Nolfers would feel if you knew people were using chams in our dd servers?

     

    Are they just a form of art?

     

    Do you feel they give an advantage to the person using them?

     

    We are having a very heated debate in our private forums regarding this matter and I feel its time for some outside opinions.

    btw, most of NS are perfectly nice and normal teenagers with very active and happy lives and just make time for a little fun! Please remember that!

    Ahhhh dear, it would be wonderful to have another ladies versus men. :)

     

    The last one was lots of fun! I couldnt stop giggling the whole way through and even though we lost I felt the men were very nice and gentlemanly!

     

    Of course I do agree with Bella, it was good the men got to keep their pride! Hehehehe! :lol:

     

    For me a game like this is all about the fun and not who wins and loses and it was so wonderful that evryone playing felt the same way! :D

     

    Sign me up if there is another; if you ladies dont mind the fact that I'm completely out of practise!! :rolleyes:

    Hmmm I could take my game with me and set it up on my sisters laptop...what would my ping be like from down under?...Ohhhh what time would that be in NZ? Ohh my gosh! :o It would be really funny to be Nolfing in the middle of the night on a tiny laptop!! Hehehehee :lol:

    Ahhhhhhhh I love it!! Cool Idea!!! :D

     

    Hmmm well the only date I am available would be July the 30th as I get back from NZ on the 26th'ish' and I have a wedding on the 29th. They go on all day! :angel:

     

    I would be able for the 30th tho, well maybe not 'able' but definitely willing! ;)

     

    But thats so far away so if most of the other gals are available on a closer date then just sign me up for the next ladies v men!

    What's wrong with Euro server

    (Heheheh Natter!)

     

    Well I also have had awful problems in the euro server lately; jumping ping! It goes from it's usual 35; sometimes to as high as 1200! It's as Sugly mentioned, constantly changing...so difficult to play. :(

     

    This makes me very sad because the Euro is my favourite server.

     

    I have done all the obvious things such as turning off everything running on my computer. I even turned off my msn! :o Desperate measures indeed!

     

    Ohhhh and I went and played in SFI server and there had my usual and stable ping of 140! No problems with or without msn on...

     

    So I wondered is it something to do with the server. The euro server was always so good for me to play in up until a couple of weeks ago and I'd love to experience that ping again! :rolleyes:

    The Euro Server, how it will effect the game

    I don't usually get involved in serious discussions regarding Nolf but in this case I have too. :)

    Im not sure why..I feel a bit bad too because I havent played in our NS server in ages and that always used to be my favourite server but since the euro server has come; I feel so content there.

     

    Well there are some reasons

     

    1) there is a new 'group' playing and some lovely regulars and the atmosphere is fantastic, I havent had as much fun Nolfing in such a long time...I was just saying to someone the other day how nice everyone seems to be there...that could be just me walking round in with my rose tinted specs on but... however..if the only issue is language differentiations then we are doing ok...

     

    2) u know the saying size matters? ;) Well I have discovered 'ping' matters (hehehe) and I adore being able to get reasonable scores for the first time ever. I never ever thought I'd ever say that! :P

     

     

    Hmmmm well thats only two reasons but they both boil down to me lotsa having fun!! :lol:

     

    I do care about our American friends having fun too, but Im asking you chaps to be patient, as in all new things the gloss will eventually wear off and people will play in many servers. When the NS server first came out I remember it was busy all the time and hardly anyone went to sfi, after some time things evened up..

     

    The euro server is bringing new peeps to the game, thats a wonderful thing, it's giving old peeps like me some incredible fun and a sense of achievement and that can't be bad and it really isnt so bad for many Americans Ping wise.

     

    I have some questions about the English language rule too, why not get some multi-lingual moderators for the servers, we have plenty of extremely talented players in our community. It seems such a shame that peeps with barely any English can't express themselves in some language with their friends. Esp the young ones..for me much of the pleasure in playing is about communication....if I couldnt understand the chat around me or contribute to it then most of my joy in playing would be gone.. :(

     

    Would management of the Euro server consider this aspect, as it is an issue there. We have two little boys in our clan who have limited English....I had a lovely time chatting with them the other day via another player who kindly translated. I am aware now that we must have broken the language rule but it seems a shame doesnt it?

     

    Well anyway thats my thoughts :)

     

    Thankyou Unity for the neat Euro server, I have loved playing there! It's been the best fun Nolfing in ages!
