qtracker lists your server because qtracker gets its information from GameSpy server. When and if GameSpy goes down, qtracker will no longer lists your server unless you use one of the methods to add it to qtracker master server.
I am using qtracker and I plan on keep using its master server when and if GameSpy goes down, since I run my servers in my own computer and I have access to the host file. I have even made a mapshot pack for qtracker that covers the maps that I use.
This is a screenshot of my server being accessed remotely. Note how cute qtracker is ...

I've added all the NOLF 1 servers I saw up to the UHQ master as well.

Blue Mountain: On the road through The Secret World adventures, this was the zone that would make or break many players. It's the point when you had to really start crafting your decks more carefully and applying synergies. Not all who felt the blow of this particular skill check powered through, making it a barrier to continuing on to Egypt and Transylvania as well as completing the story mission.
Well, now there's a new barrier in town: Tokyo.
As much as I had looked forward to the Issue #9 content, and as much as I am enjoying the content now that it is here, I have to admit that Tokyo is the granddaddy of barriers. Not only are there barriers to getting to the content, but there are some to enjoying it once you get there too. And any one of them might cause players to give up on Tokyo and The Secret World before experiencing the whole update. So to help folks avoid smashing into any barriers unexpectedly and leaving bruises, let me give you the scoop on what lies ahead.Continue reading Chaos Theory: The Secret World's Tokyo barrier

Speaking of windowed mode, I recently learned how to use it (+windowed 1) but when I try to use it (Win7 64bit) it works, I have the game in a window, but the mouse almost doesn't work, I mean, it works but extremely badly. I have tried hardware cursor setting OFF to no avail. The cursor/mouse works fine if I am in any menu but once I am in the game, mouse movement is extremely jerky making the use of the windowed game impossible. Any fix?
Grab the mouse stutter fix or URA's NOLF1 multiplayer launcher (which has the mouse fix in it) that should fix your problem.

Anyone else facing this issue, Nolf GOTY runs at around 20fps in Windows 8.1..
Yes. Workarounds I've seen include running the game in windowed mode.
-
A player called *Djamba taught me a way to control the speed of those projectiles. I was able to 'fine-tune' the speeds of rockets, grenades and arrows to what I call "designed speed", i.e., the speed the NOLF coders wanted them to have.
Can you send me that information via personal message?
-
They already list my hirnschwund.net server, didn't even realize that. If only I had more time to play... :3
I guess I will point my server to the UHQ master server as soon as I can, if QTracker picks that up anyway, there's nothing wrong with that

Message me your server IP and port and I can manually add you to the UHQ master list.

I have the goty version but it still installed to C:\Program Files\Fox
(not x86)
I dont normally run as admin but just tried but still no custom button

If you are running it on Windows 7 and especially 8 I'd try running it by right-clicking it and selecting the run as administrator. Other option would be to use Windows compatibility mode.
-
You can also use this
It fixed this problem with my Windows 8.1

-
Is NOLF installed in C:\Program Files? If so, are you running as admin?
NOLF GOTY installs there the regular one will try to install to C:\Program Files (x86) on a 64 bit system.

Please welcome FortranDragon to the UHQ moderating team.

It's Tokyo time! That's right, an end to the wait is finally upon us. Come Wednesday, everyone who buys Issue #9 The Black Signal for The Secret World and has acquired The Council's Seal will be able to cross the threshold into Tokyo.
Like you, I've been dying to get in and check out this new zone, the first new area introduced to the horror game since launch. Thanks to a special tour with Game Director Joel Bylos and Communications Manager Tor Egil Andersen, I was able to preview the first of the three Tokyo zones so I could share that experience with you. We not only explored the city itself, but we completed one of the new -- and might I add, really spooky -- missions and utilized the new AEGIS system.
So, how is it? Let me just say, it's worth the wait! And not just for the creepy homages to the Illuminati handler, Kirsten Geary.Continue reading Chaos Theory: Touring Tokyo with TSW's Joel Bylos

Wow, thank you so much for finding that! It looks and works just like GameSpy with just few few host file entries

Now that we've got 2 new great Nolf 1 server browsers to choose from, nobody needs you anymore GameSpy

but thank you for giving us so many years of good Nolf memories!
Those hosting the NOLF 1 servers have to make the edits to to use the QTracker method. The program made by URA has the server send it's heartbeat to our master server.
The problem with the QTracker method is if you commercially host your gameservers you won't have access to make or modify a hosts file.
-
FYI: I see that Qtracker (http://www.qtracker.com/master-gamespy.php) is starting to emulate the Gamespy servers at least as far as the server listings go. I don't know if that is going to make things easier or more complicated for the remaining NOLF 1 multiplayer folks.
From what I understand from their method you create a modification to the servers host (Windows or Linux) hosts file (or the Linux equivalent) To tell it to point Gamespy requests to the QTracker server.
We do a similar thing except URA made a server and multi-player launcher so if you don't have access or don't want to mess with the host file etc. The programs URA made do it for you.
As does the NOLF2 and Contract Jack launchers.
They point the games to the UHQ master server we're running for all 3 games.

Hmm. I'll try and see
Thanks for the reply.I'm hoping this resolved your issue since there wasn't a follow up post.

Got asked this via email again the other day so I figured I'd post it here for future referencing

How to add custom maps for No One Lives Forever
1. Create a new folder named "custom"in your No One Lives Forever directory
(i.e. C:\Program Files\Fox\No One Lives Forever\custom).
2. After you download the Zip file open it and extract it to (or place it in) your custom folder (C:\Program Files\Fox\No One Lives Forever\custom).
3. Launch NOLF. Click 'Advanced' then click 'Customize'. There are two windows, the left side shows the rez maps in your custom folder. The right side shows maps you had loaded and ready to play. To load a map highlight it and click 'Add'. You can only run 11 maps at a time.
4. Check 'Always load these rez files' so you don't have to do this each time.
5. Click 'Ok', and then 'launch'. From the in game menu click on 'Multiplayer' then 'Host' then 'Levels'. You should see the new levels listed. You can still add the maps using the new NOLF multi-player launcher too.

There are speed setting for those that can be edited. I'll research it and see what I can fine tune.

Let's hear it for the encore! If you missed any step of the The Secret World's first long-term (and by long, I mean like The Great Wall of China long) event, you've been granted a second chance. Before The Whispering Tide rolls out for good and Tokyo finally arrives, all phases of the event will be temporarily available for players to experience. Starting last week with the gathering phases and moving to the instanced phases this week, players have the opportunity to snag missing lore and check off achievements, ultimately earning the crowning piece of the bee suit: the helm.
This was definitely a smart move on Funcom's part. With this latest act, the studio shows more consideration for TSW's players and fosters an increase in goodwill, something the company certainly needs after such a long wait for Issue #9 and the more recent April Fools' Day mankini debacle. Sadly, a few easily preventable missteps marred what could have been a purely positive move.Continue reading Chaos Theory: The Secret World's Whispering Tide and Tokyo

I use Winzip to unzip it, but then it says it does not appear to be valid archive and it call me to download again.
So I try to download it second time, but the downloads keep on being interrupted.
You can also download the ISOs and burn them to discs. I just downloaded them again to verify them and they extracted fine for me.

We have a resourceful community.

URA has come up with a tool and we've added NOLF 1 to the UHQ master server we are hosting.
To play NOLF1 multiplayer after May 2014 simply visit our downloads HERE and pick up the multiplayer launcher by URA
-
Downloaded the zip files of the 2 discs, but I can't unzip it.
If you have Windows Vista or higher you should be able to right-click the zip file and select the extract all option.
If you don't have that option you can Google for Winrar or Winzip and use their trial versions to unzip them.

after installing it... well, it froze my system -_- i need a couple of restarts then, i am not getting the speeches and music. I ve Xonar DX.
I tried uninstall/reinstall/remove my drivers, codecs, WMP, directX, patching, etc. No Result.

Please try it out and let me know how it does. I've done some new things server side that could be promising if it works for everyone.
