Game Explorer is an integral part of Windows 7/8/10
Game Explorer monitors your games and sends information about games to Microsoft :Gcylon:
As a result, your game is slowly loaded and "slows down."
In some cases, when the Internet is turned off, the game does not start.
The games that Game Explorer controls are stored in the GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll file directory, in the system folder C: \ Windows \
Inside the file GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll there is a folder called DATA, in which records about 2072 games are stored. You can open the file GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll with the free 7-Zip archiver and see for yourself.

The first simple option to disable the Game Explorer, only for the game NOLF2
1. Open the main game folder, rename the startup file NOLF2 to NOLF2_1 then create a shortcut NOLF2_1 and put it on the desktop.
In the future, run the game with the label NOLF2_1
So you "cheat" Game Explorer. :semoque:

The second universal version of disabling the Game Explorer for all your games.
The idea is to remove the file-directory GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll from the Windows 7x64 system

1. In your Archive, create the My_System32 folder and copy the GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll file there from the folder C: \ Windows \ System32
2. In your Archive, create the My_SysWOW64 folder and copy the GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll file there from the folder C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64
3. Then to remove GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll from the system folders, install the free program Unlocker 1.9.2
4. Open the C: \ Windows folder, enter the GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll in the search box
4 copies of the file GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll will be found, while in the folders:
C: \ Windows \ System32
C: \ Windows \ winsxs \ amd64_microsoft-windows-gameexplorer_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_a026547dd7dc8bbc
There will be 64-bit versions of GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll,
MD5: 8B21624E80D75BE60984E8F3F9C607F3
... And in the folders:
C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64
C: \ Windows \ winsxs \ wow64_microsoft-windows-gameexplorer_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_aa7afed00c3d4db7
There will be 32-bit versions of GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll,
MD5: F01EA0997DBC8E7EEA367FF7B866AB34

5. Delete all files GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll Unlocker from these folders C: \ Windows
If necessary, in the future you will be able to restore these files from your Archive (paragraphs 1, 2)

6. Open the Registry Editor:
Programs - Standard - Run - regedit
Then find the Game Explorer branch:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ GameUX
In the folder GameUX you will find an entry similar to this:
\ S-1-5-21-4243564932-4056694582-3931515467-1000 \ {0B3EDE60-E94B-44C4-A2B8-30ABE3CF1C2D}]
Here S-1-5-21-4243564932-4056694582-3931515467-1000 - This is your Windows version identifier. This folder stores all your games that are controlled by Microsoft over the Internet.
Delete all entries about your games from this folder. In this case, you must delete
{0B3EDE60-E94B-44C4-A2B8-30ABE3CF1C2D} is information about the game NOLF2.

7. Open the folder C: \ Users \ [YOU_NAME] \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ GameExplorer
Here, [YOU_NAME] is your User name
Remove from this folder all but GamesBoxArt

8. Open Programs - Games - Game Explorer - Options
Uncheck all marks, specify "do not automatically check for updates" and click the "Clear info" button

NOTE.

If you are a Programmer, then do not delete the GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll file, but delete the entries for those games that are running slowly on your computer from the DATA folder of the GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll file

After removing GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll from the C: \ Windows folders and cleaning the registry, the NOLF2 game stopped "hanging" and "slowing down", the game loading accelerated.

Of course be aware that editing your registry incorrectly can cause issues with your operating system.

Proceed with caution and make a backup before making any edits etc.

Decision.

The game "slows down" when you connect the Internet and (or) does not start when you disconnect the Internet.

Games can slow down due to the "services" of the Game Explorer built into Windows Vista / 7
Game Explorer is deactivated in Windows 8/10 so there is no such error.

To disable the "services" Game Explorer there are several ways:
Method 1 (official)
Start - Programs - Games - Disable all Games Browser services
It does not always help, the Game Browser continues to transmit data to Microsoft every time the game is started.

Method 2 (Individually for each game)
Rename the game's launch file, then the Game Browser will not see your game and will not impose "services." Checked on old games Contract JACK, NOLF2, F.E.A.R.
Additionally, find and remove the branch of your game from this registry branch
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ GameUX]
If the game does not allow renaming the startup file, then use the 3rd method.

Method 3. (Universal, for all games))
Use the "Stop Game Explorer"
Download here:

The program works with system files, so use at your own peril.
This program will rename the system file-directory GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll to GameUXLegacyGDFs_OLD.dll, after which Game Explorer will not see your game and will not impose "services".
It is difficult to rename the system file GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll independently with saving the Owner, Users and Permissions.
The program has the mode of reverse renaming GameUXLegacyGDFs_OLD.dll in GameUXLegacyGDFs.dll, after which Game Explorer will start working again.
